So if the music was using all 4 channels and Mario found a coin, then the sound of Mario finding a coin, overruled one of the channel in the music.
KeyGen music is often made in a tracker such as FastTracker. These trackers supports the use of 8-bit sounds, but also an unlimited use of channels.

It is a little scary seeing how many people don't seem to realize that this kind of sound is not "fake". Most Amiga and PC made mod music sounded like this from the first years of the 90's until around 2000 or so, when interest in chip generated music grew again (it never did disappear though, just to be clear on that, but it co-existed with 'traditional' mod music like this in the 90's, but has recently been more popular). This is all sample based stuff, the only differences are sample sizes.
@RETARDIRANY None of this stuff is made with midi sequencers, it's all tracker software. No matter if it is chiptunes or more advanced sounding stuff like this. It's all samples in patterns in .mod/.xm/.it2/.s3m files.
MIDI has no distinct sound though, since that is only the communication protocol used between musical instruments and sequencers.
@RETARDIRANY and depending on the sound quality of the individual samples used, I'm sure a track like this could fit in about 500-700kB. This kind of mod music has been commonplace ever since 1990-91 and you could fit a lot of them on a diskette. Few are more than 1.5 MB.

Yeah, go to keygenmusic(dot)org, click on "BetaMaster" on the left side of the screen under "Teams" and click the 2nd Nero 9.0 keygen. It says "beyond weird iii" in the Title column.
Also, you're going to need a special program to open it. Go to the Softpedia website and search for "MODPlug Tracker 1.16.0203", without the quotes. Download and install the PLAYER to just play the song. If you want to view the guts of it, and compose your own music like them, get the tracker. If you got any questions, just shoot me a reply or a message.
To be perfectly honest, its probably easier just to rip the mp3 straight off this youtube version lol, just google "youtube mp3 downloader" or something, theres loads of programs for it that work fine

@snedie69er You can not accuse me about material I didn't know was copyrighted when I saw/heard/used it. I have never, ever downloaded one illegal piece of any material and all programs on my computer are registered paid and legal... I have never, ever, warezzed, not one time. My computer has allways been 100% pure clean and sinless.

All media on the internet is copyright to the original uploader, regardless of wether they claim that copyright on the material in question.
Take the Picture on the Google home page, not specifically made clear they own copyright. But they still do.

Yeah, go to keygenmusic(dot)org, click on "BetaMaster" on the left side of the screen under "Teams" and click the 2nd Nero 9.0 keygen. It says "beyond weird iii" in the Title column.

Also, you're going to need a special program to open it. Go to the Softpedia website and search for "MODPlug Tracker 1.16.0203", without the quotes. Download and install the PLAYER to just play the song. If you want to view the guts of it, and compose your own music like them, get the tracker. i woudlnt call this the best, all keygen chiptunes have soemthign about them. They are pretty much a genre by themselves and each song is different from another.
