  • I love you Katatonia!!!It's like you know every little part of my soul.

  • although this is a good song this is not one of there best....

  • @satanschild1974 it's pretty damn good.

  • It's the B side to the teargas single. I thought everyone knew that?

  • this song eats me alive

  • being catatonic is reality for some

  • lol they were listening to simon & garfunkel before writing this song. i swar.

  • Man this song was such a pain in the ass to find. Now I can shall listen to if four more times and then go to bed.

  • Well this song is the theme tune of my life..... damn it.....Beautifully depressing....

  • This is one of their greatest songs!! I absolutely adore this. I just wish after this ep they never bothered with the nu-metal weakness that they decided to employ on the albums that followed. Such a shame!

when that riff kicks in you know you're in the presence of a band that really have defined their own sound. at 05:06 onwards you realise you've heard one of the pinnacles of depressing yet uplifting metal ever made. Fucking awesome.

Will they ever be this good again?

  • now all you katatonics go listen to Scarborough Fair and listen carefully

  • Simply one of the best and most moving songs ever. I love it.

  • @JonathonTheAsshole You're right.

  • Katatonia's best songs are on their EP's and B-sides.

  • @JonathonTheAsshole This is on Last Fair Deal...

  • @Megadedly No it's not.

  • I listen to this song when Im sad and when I want to listen to a really...really good song.

  • Awesome song.

  • This song is so underrated.... for me one of the best songs of katatonia. It make me want to kill myself!

  • I thought that this was a Slipknot cover! And then I listened to the song, and I was glad that it wasn't!! PHEW!!! :D

  • @danevati dude Katatonia would never stoop that low.

  • @LuciferPlague91 Hahahaha true....

  • Katatonia never ceases to amaze....

  • 1:40 -> 2:06 reminds me of HIM

    dunno why, just saying

  • @blandortaker Him?

Dude don't listen to that shit, (my friend did, he's gay now).

Don't let this happen to you.

  • @puffintuffer i listened to that shit when i was younger, don't worry, ;D

  • Katatonias best songs are always the unreleased B-sides they save for their singles and EP's.

  • the guitarist is touched by the god of sadness and depression ...... awesome work man ...

  • @xxxdeadmunkxxx Anders Nystrom is his name. My idol and a true underground guitar God.

  • This band is so awesome! emotional, with great melodies, lyrics and music.. Gonna see them live in 11th April in Greece and i'm really looking forward..

  • This song is wonderful. ;)

  • Beautiful.

  • ...And that's why I got all confused :P

  • Looks like a makeshift grave, or a campfire from a distance o.o

  • It's...not a cover...

  • maybe (s)he meant the album cover:)

  • Comment removed

  • @PanagosGr33kG134EVER

The song or the Album art? This song is the original.

  • I mean the cover of the EP.

  • Yeah the cover (art) is for the "Black Sessions" compilation album which features some of the most memorable tracks from Discouraged Ones (97/8) - Viva Emptiness (2003). More or less clean vocalized days of Katatonia. Complements the "Brave Yesterdays" album I guess.

  • i love this song :(

  • This is absolutely awesome. This was some of the last truly brilliant music they made.

    Fucking LOVE this song.

  • Totally agree with JaredThePiper. This one is something heavenly..

  • Agree with crywithasmile87, one of Katatonia's better songs.

I like the lyrics, adds the melancholy to the music.

  • Saw em there ;)

  • i love it

  • Saw them live twice, and I just can't get enough !

  • The beginning reminds me of the melody of scarborough fair... so wonderful

  • This is one of their tracks that jumps out in extending class... Absolute supremacy.

  • this is one of the most emotional and beautiful katatonia songs ever... which is saying a lot!

  • <3 this song!!!

  • i would so fucking love to see them live once in my life =D god

  • toally agree with that statement. just once to see them live.

  • gonna see em on summerbreeze this summer :D

  • I HAVE SULFUR , IN MY HEART *key change* NOOOOOOT ENOUGH STRENGTH TO GIVE IT A SPARK!

    That keychange is hauntingly sublime

  • this change makes the song somewhat of godlike... lol its one of my fave songs of them =D chrome, ghost of the sun, we must bury you, a darkness coming, deadhouse, and this one here, are plain impossible to not be great rofl =D you get the idea i hope

  • 5:11 - 5:45

Best part of the Song, in my eyes.

    the deep emotion within.. sigh.

  • You can see this song in your eyes? Damn man, you must be jesus.

No, jk, I fucking love this song and this band! XD

  • kneel to the cross, hm? ;)

  • beautifel and amazing!

  • katatonia is the best music to listen in these winter days.

  • You fucking got that right

  • wow how come and i have never heard of this song b4? and katatonia is my fav band =]

  • it's on the Teargas EP ;)

  • This song just awesome. I can't get enough of it.

  • add &fmt=18 to the end of the URL to make it high quality, sounds so perfect.

  • oh by the weay Stokholm is the new Seattle!

  • Katatonia rules the Earth bar none!!!!

  • you are so right my friend... like everyone else who loves this band!

  • Wow... I just stumbled onto this video, and i've never heard of this band before, but this sounds pretty awesome!

  • I feel like this song has many hidden meaning to it....but whenever i try to figure out what it is, i cant do it. Some of my guesses work for most of the lines, but thatn there are a couple that dont make sence....

Anyone know the true meaning of this song?

  • Well, I think that everyone should make their own interpretation of the song. But I can give you mine. I think the song has to do with a past relationship and that you realize how blind you were back then, and all the things that you could have done, and should've.

I believe it has to do with one person changing more than the other in the relationship.

And the end of the song is about being so lost without the person. 'there is no light in my pathway. you must tell me where to go'.

  • I really love this song. I wish it had made it onto the original pressing of Last Fair Deal Gone Down as I cannot find the reissue or the Teargas EP anywhere.

  • the newest pressing of LFDGD actually includes Sulphur, March 4, and Help Me Disappear.... these inclusionc probably make this their greatest album...if not just behind discouraged ones

  • this song is perfect.

today i had a terrible day. and this song made me cry.

  • Words can't describe the feeling this song gives. Jonas's voice is in its prime.

    A funeral song indeed...

  • Beautiful...

  • Beatiful song! I love it! :)

  • I mean beautiful;)

  • Thanx for posting this song!!!

just a comment, this was originally released in the "teargas" EP during 2001

  • Que hermosuraa aiii

    me desmayo xDDDDD
