I read in India it can be as low as one dollar for animal cruelty offences, in other places like China, there are no protection laws for animals in industries. I am not sure about Russia, lets hope this sparks action for those who do not have a voice :)

This is nothing compared to what the Russians did in 1957.They sent a dog (Laika) to space and back to earth. The donkey has survived but the dog didn't, it was orbiting the earth 2,570 times!

I was in Romania last year and i saw a donkey carrying what looked like a small caravan of junk on his back...Tourists were taking pictures and laughing while the donkey passed by. This is nothing compared to what the Russians did in 1957.They sent a dog (Laika) to space and back to earth. The donkey has survived but the dog didn't, it was orbiting the earth 2,570 times!

this is a sickening act of cruelty. people who are laughing at this don't simply have no heart but also have no knowledge of pain and suffering. Donkeys are more delicate than people imagine - yes they can carry heavy weights but they are extremely susceptable to shock which can kill them. this was a fast moving act well above the ground, the donkeys weight was pressing down on its belly and behind the forearms, most likely the animal could barely breath through shock. its sickening.

People say this is cruelty yet have no problem with seeing a donkey with an extremely heavy load on his back. I was in Romania last year and i saw a donkey carrying what looked like a small caravan of junk on his back...Tourists were taking pictures and laughing while the donkey passed by. Similar stuff happens in alot of countries.
