  • I was looking for a picture of kandasana and found your video. It's amazing !!!! Prema

  • Hey Prema! So you haven't forgotten the password! Good. Thank you. ॐॐॐ

  • Onlyl just discovered this vid!

..and you hold it for over 5 m ins!

    AMAZING!

    U still posting vids?

  • Yes, friend, under the name Steeveyoga. I am just a little bit busy at the moment, but other videos are coming.

  • Such an impressive display. I could do Kandasana when I was younger, so I know how difficult it is. Not only do you make it look easy and comfortable, but you are able to combine it with so many other interesting and difficult poses. Truly inspiring.

  • Hi

How long have you practised before you could do the kandasana? I have practised it for quite a few months but the progress is very slow. Now I can only hold the feet to the breast and stay for a few second. But if I let go, the feet will fall down right away, and the ankel is pain.

Could you give me some tips how to do the kandasana? I realy like this pose.

    Daniel

  • The first time I saw Kandasana in the book of Iyengar I tried and was able to do it, but not without hands! I think that my ankles and knees are supple enough because of lotus : I sit most of the time in that position. Try to sit more in full lotus! Try also to practise Kandasana in Sarvangasana : it is not so painful when the body is upside-down and you can stay longer.

  • Best of luck! Don't hesitate to write! Namaste.

  • Thanks a lot for the tips. I also have a book of Iyengar where I knew the name of kandasana and the pose. I will try your advise to sit on full lotus for more time a day. And do you think side split is also helpful?

  • Sorry to reply so late (I was in India). Yes, the great split is great, sure! Good luck!

  • But contortion is great. It's always a delight to watch.

  • And no, sorry, I cannot touch the bottom with my head. To try to touch one's bottom, this is contortion, no? Contortion is interesting, as well as break dance or gymnastic, for example, but they don't make our mind quiet and one-pointed, they don't mean to free us from anger, greed or delusion. Yours.

  • This is not the normal speed by the way. If I do it for myself or with students, it is at least three times slower. Best of luck. Om.

  • Hi Tommasso! Yes, my bones are ordinary. I began at 17 (now 26) and I was only able to do the splits before starting yoga. If we practise everyday we can greatly improve in a few months. It's wonderful because the body becomes very light and the mind quiet (if we practise slowly).

  • You look so comfortable in kandasana!

  • Ma montagne,

    cette video est plus clair.

Tu es gentille avec des spectateurs.

Chaque posture,tu parles avec nous, avec un bon sourire.

  • ...nothing short of astounding...I hope I will get there someday! Very creative too...I have never seen most of those variations. Namaste
