The fact is, if you can take an 80 dollar guitar and still make it sound good, then it's professional enough. My friend duct tapes over the fender logos on all his basses just so douches like you can't tell whether its a fender or a squier. If it sounds good, it is good. You, on the other hand, are likely to be no good. Choke.
