Secret Rings may have sloppy controls but I love the levels and difficulty in the platforming. Another smart feature is the ability to speed boost and slow down time. Definitely not a class but u really shattered my spirit with the review ::( Wish I could unkock the secret party characters
@chaoslight11 I perfere Black Knight but this is a neat game too. I love the party mode expeicaly so I usualy play that. The game is chalenging too. Me I say on his ranking Good.

And when he said the thing about dishing out sonic left and right, only three of those were real sonic games, Riders is a racing game so i don't really count that or the olympics one. when you say 3D sonic games you should only include the action/platforming ones.
I bet you already know this, but the reason why the original actors were replaced by the 4Kids Actors is because Deem Bristow, the original voice of Dr. Eggman, died in 2004. Although nowadays we have the Studiopolis actors like Roger Craig Smith. The only 4Kids actor that remains is Mike Pollock, the voice of Dr. Eggman.
jaleel white should have done the voice of sonic because he did the voice in all the old shows (if he still has the voice he did when he voiced sonic)

Well the game is good if you get used to the controls. But the mini games are downright horrible. The single player is fun except for some annoying parts.
I know a lot of people don't agree with me but I say this is a slightly above average game. I'm not saying its a good game but if you take the time to get used to the controls which I know a lot of people don't have the patience to do, it's a surprisingly fun game with tons of replayability. I've had the game for a year and I've still got tons I can do in it. (Probably because the only time I get to play the game is when I'm home for summer vacation).

That's not true, I am a mojor Sonic fan since the very first Sonic the Hedgehog for the Genesis and I have beaten every Sonic game that I have ever played (including this one), but I still thought that the controls were pretty awful. :(

I actually prefer Jason Griffith to Ryan Drummond. Imho, he just sounds more natural, and exhibits a broader range of emotion. From what I've heard of Roger Craig Smith, however, he is a suitable replacement as he still sounds natural, and makes Sonic sound older and more mature
I hated this game so much. There's one thing I ask from a Sonic game and that is FULL Control over Sonic. The jumps were such a pain, but within the month Sonic Colors came out and I am now at peace.
Am I the only person who thought that this game was better than Black Knight? Yes, the controls could've been WAY better, but you can work with them. I thought that Black Knight was so boring, because its gameplay was too shallow, and has way too much waggle. You sometimes jump, but it's mostly just waggle, waggle, waggle, waggle. And although they are highly detailed & gorgeous-looking, the environments lack the imaginative, creative factor that Secret Rings has. And multiplayer might be worse.
@Snipertoaster It plays like Sonic Unleashed's daytime levels, and he said that they weren't on rails. I think what he means by on rails is your character automatically moving forward.

a tip for preforming the long jump without skidding is to preform a small jump and hold the two button in mid air. Sonic will stop in his tracks and this way you can charge up a long jump.
@autosaver no even with upgrades there is a learning curve with the jump mechanics. Though the idea of being able to make sonic slower is good for some missions
@superspinclaw You need to listen to it again. It was only for games in the past 4 years, from when this was uploaded, and that don't include DS games.

Now when its 4 over 2, ur point is somewhat true. But I think that Secret Rings was the ONLY rushed one; I think Sega wanted a $ advantage for a launch title. I understand why this game was rushed/not tested; they wanted it to be an early release title for $. And their strategy worked.
The reason they replaced Ryan Drummond with James Griffin is because the voice actor who previously voiced Dr. Robotnik died, so instead of just replacing him, the entire original cast of Sonic game voice actors were replaced by the voice actors from 4kids who dubbed the Sonic X anime.
You know what I found weird? This game was a launch title and you gave it a bad review due to the bad controls and the minigames. The Wiiviewr gave Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz, which was a launch title, a bad review also because of bad controls and the minigames.
I like sonic but i perfer Phantasy star Universe. By the way this "Game" is an ungodly abomination. Its probably one of the biggest failures since the Atari 5200!
These statistics ARE biased if you don't include Crossbow Training.
*Black Knight, Secret Rings, Unleashed and Next Gen/2006 are all legitimate. And so is TWP for Zelda.
*But putting Sonic Riders, Zero Gravity and M&S@OG and not putting Crossbow Training; what the heck? THESE SPIN-OFFs? I mean I understand and beleive your point is correct, but please tell me why you think its fair to put in these 3 spin-offs and not Crossbow.

I couldn't agree with this review any more. The visuals and soundtrack are awesome but the gameplay and controls leave you feeling raped.

@FreQuenczy I'm sorry, but while I hate to admit it, this is your only bad review. (don't get me wrong, your a great reviewer, way better then the wiiviewr) you gotta accept this was Sonic's first Wii game. Surpringly enough, this game is better then Black Knight to the majority of people. But, I love your reviews. I don't really care since this review was made a year ago. Keep making great reviews, Frequenczy. :) Also, please review Epic Mickey if you can.

1) Ur including The two Riders (SPINOFFS) and not including Crossbow Training? I mean Crossbow Training IS a 3D Games.
2) Ur including MARIO AND SONIC AT THE OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES?! AND NOT CROSSBOW?!
Now when its 4 over 2, ur point is somewhat true. But I think that Secret Rings was the ONLY rushed one; I think Sega wanted a $ advantage for a launch title. I understand why this game was rushed/not tested; they wanted it to be an early release title for $. And their strategy worked.

The reason they replaced Ryan Drummond with James Griffin is because the voice actor who previously voiced Dr. Robotnik died, so instead of just replacing him, the entire original cast of Sonic game voice actors were replaced by the voice actors from 4kids who dubbed the Sonic X anime.

You know what I found weird? This game was a launch title and you gave it a bad review due to the bad controls and the minigames. The Wiiviewr gave Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz, which was a launch title, a bad review also because of bad controls and the minigames.

These statistics ARE biased if you don't include Crossbow Training.
*Black Knight, Secret Rings, Unleashed and Next Gen/2006 are all legitimate. And so is TWP for Zelda.
*But putting Sonic Riders, Zero Gravity and M&S@OG and not putting Crossbow Training; what the heck? THESE SPIN-OFFs? I mean I understand and beleive your point is correct, but please tell me why you think its fair to put in these 3 spin-offs and not Crossbow.

@FreQuenczy I don't find it fair that you didn't include DS games as Phantom Hourglass and New Super Mario Bros. where on the DS and if you look at this, look how many mascots Nintendo has compared to Sega. Also what about Mario Kart Wii, Super Paper Mario, Mario Power Tennis, Mario Strikers Charged, Mario Super Sluggers, Dr. Mario Online RX, Mario Party 8, and Shadow the Hedgehog?
