The thought that any group of kids would be studying this music, let alone finding a local, emotional and CULTURAL connection to it... Well, it brought me to tears. And gave me hope for our youth.
dude, shut the fuck up. just because music has an emotional effect on people, it doesnt make them as you say "an emo faggot". And to be honest, bon iver has some of the most emotional music i've heard in a long time.
I played that night in Jazz 3 also apart of Memorial which was the first group then Jazz 2 then Jazz 1 by themselves then with Justin. I later got a shirt signed by him and talked to him. He is super nice! I had an amazing time that night.
I just have to say that the MHS Jazz I ensemble blew me away. There are so many outstanding individuals in that group. I was also really impressed with Justin's vocal stylings - I loved hearing him sing jazz standards.
(I was a little nervous about recording in case someone asked me to stop so I only recorded the Bon Iver songs and then a few shorter clips of the jazz pieces.)
I really hope that they post "that's why the lady is a tramp" and the last song justin played, those were amazing. Huge props to MHS for this show, it was truely an experience. Some of my favorite songs didn't even have justin in them. It made we wish i was a MHS grad

considering that was 3 weeks ago, and it still ruined your day, i'd say you're the one with the issue, mr. douchecanoe.

It must be said... The young gentleman playing the flute was absolutely flawless.

if you where playing for bon iver, wouldn't you practice the hell out of it?

yes... that makes sense. practice and you will get flawless. i never knew that until this moment

uh... he's not playing for bon iver. This show is to fund the MHS band on their musical adventures. Justin Vernon showed up for THEM.

I was there and it was an unbelievable show. Justin has such range with his musical stylings - Sinatra, Fitzgerald, etc. It was really amazing.
Justin Vernon wearing a white suit put it over the top! Still hasnt found a comb however
