  • thanks fer the video nybatt. awesome version, the flute solo gives me chills every time....

  • @nojob71 my pleasure! i'm just happy that other people get to see this performance.

  • i love justin's respect as he steps off stage for the orchestra. that man can do no wrong..

  • The thought that any group of kids would be studying this music, let alone finding a local, emotional and CULTURAL connection to it... Well, it brought me to tears. And gave me hope for our youth.

  • considering that was 3 weeks ago, and it still ruined your day, i'd say you're the one with the issue, mr. douchecanoe.

  • @Fiaganja

dude, shut the fuck up. just because music has an emotional effect on people, it doesnt make them as you say "an emo faggot". And to be honest, bon iver has some of the most emotional music i've heard in a long time.

  • Ugh. I love this. Man. And that flute solo is just rockin'.

  • ohhh, i played in this show.

    jazz III tho. :p

one of the most amazing nights of my life.

i love going to memorial. :D

btw this is my brother's account lolz.

  • wauw respect. I'd love to play with Bon iver.. hehe I'lll dream on. Very well done:)

  • gahhh i love eau claire!

  • I played that night in Jazz 3 also apart of Memorial which was the first group then Jazz 2 then Jazz 1 by themselves then with Justin. I later got a shirt signed by him and talked to him. He is super nice! I had an amazing time that night.

  • I was at this too.... Amazing Show! I actually stopped back and said Hi to Justin before the show.... As always super cool dude...

  • Your high school is infinitely cooler than mine was. Well done!

  • It must be said... The young gentleman playing the flute was absolutely flawless.

  • if you where playing for bon iver, wouldn't you practice the hell out of it?

  • yes... that makes sense. practice and you will get flawless. i never knew that until this moment

  • uh... he's not playing for bon iver. This show is to fund the MHS band on their musical adventures. Justin Vernon showed up for THEM.

  • well said, kids like james galway

  • humbling

  • I just have to say that the MHS Jazz I ensemble blew me away. There are so many outstanding individuals in that group. I was also really impressed with Justin's vocal stylings - I loved hearing him sing jazz standards.

(I was a little nervous about recording in case someone asked me to stop so I only recorded the Bon Iver songs and then a few shorter clips of the jazz pieces.)

  • I really hope that they post "that's why the lady is a tramp" and the last song justin played, those were amazing. Huge props to MHS for this show, it was truely an experience. Some of my favorite songs didn't even have justin in them. It made we wish i was a MHS grad

  • I was there and it was an unbelievable show. Justin has such range with his musical stylings - Sinatra, Fitzgerald, etc. It was really amazing.

Justin Vernon wearing a white suit put it over the top! Still hasnt found a comb however
