  • Why aren't there any guys that look like Naveen in real life?!

  • 0:07 that reminds me of toy story

  • haha my fav line from this movie is

charlotte: 'who would of thought the prince had a younger brother. how old did you say you were?' 'im 6 and a half' 'well, i waited this long'

  • i found myself looking for clues from other disney movies.

  • How does Carpet keep sneaking cameos!?

  • @Evilgidgit4Ever and ariels dad was on the float thingy at the end!

  • One thing about this movie that I don't like is the part where they say the guy is the mardi gras king for the 5th time that can't happen

  • This film doesn't get the attention it deserves from those of us who grew up during the Renaissance. I always read comments about Disney not being the way it used to be; we were given this gorgeous film, and 90s kids don't acknowledge it at all. Quit whining and appreciate the fact that we were given a film as good as this one; it deserves a place of honor in Disney's canon. For you Renaissance kids who recognize this film and give it the praise it deserves, I tip my hat to you.

  • @Guigley yeah it is pretty sad most people have allowed nostalgia to take control of their ability to critique a movie fairly.

  • This movie makes me proud to be a Louisianian. (I live nowhere near New Orleans, but still xD)

  • Can anyone else see Hazel Levesque dancing to this song? xD

  • yay for hand drawn animation!

  • THATS IT! I`M MOVING TO NEW ORLEANS AS SOON AS I CAN!!!!

  • that first scene showed all of the main characters

  • @lidsworth The last 10 seconds of this clip had all the main characters in one place

  • @lidsworth not Louis

  • i truly believe Walt would be proud of this

  • Dr. Facilier reminds me of Saddam Hussein from South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut and Thrax from Osmosis Jones.

  • This is one of my favourite Disney movies. It's a return to the quality of their old work, but it's perfect because not only have they looked back, they've updated, especially in terms or characters and realism. Tiana is by far the best Disney princess, because she's not an archetype, she's a real, flawed woman who forms a real romance with a real, equally flawed man, and both of them grow and develop throughout they're journey. I've never rooted for a Disney romance the way I did for theirs.

  • I just wonder if they ever realize that they have seen each other before?

  • naveen has some juicy dick suckin lips..slurp

  • Pause at 0:53 Aladdin's carpet!

  • I love Tiana. She's hot as hell, and has a personality/determination to boot.

  • they put on Aladdin's flying carpet!!! ^_^

  • I do like the fact that her relationship with her prince is actually very dynamic and is founded on mutual struggle and experience, unlike most Disney princesses.

  • the news paper says something about a 50lb tomato..... then again, they have cinderella riding in a giant magical pumpkin. :)

  • My favorite song in the movie

  • did anyone else feel a shiver go doown there spine the first time they ever saw dr. facilier's shadow move on it's own?

  • wow the critics being harsh on this Disney masterpiece? The Characters are awesome, the music is awesome, graphics blew me away and dance moves are incredible. the plot is just...amazing

  • Anyone else see Aladdin's carpet at 0:53??

  • @HappyCosmo102 OMG!!! When I saw this movie, I didn't notice it!!! Sweet!

  • Naveen isn't indian or hispanic or arab. He's probably african because he's 1)Black and 2)speaks french/has french accent. (and yes in some parts of africa they do speak french)

  • @princessdaniat Naveen is actually racially ambigous. Disney has purposely not given the prince a race.

  • @idrc94 yes i know this. but it's not like he could be white or anything. It's called process of elimination, so if u had to give him a race he would probably be african

  • @princessdaniat naveen aint african...hes meant to be mixed race in the movie, the makers purposely made him look ambiguos so we cant really tell what exactly he is. Besides in the movie he comes from a ficitonal country anyways..

  • What part of the newspaper says that Maldonia isn't a real place?

  • She drank a lot of coffee for those tips.

  • Early in Treasure Planet you can see Stitch as a stuffed toy on a shelf : )

  • I love this style i bet i will be a cartoonist when i get older i llllllllloooooooooooooovvvvvvvvvveeeeeeee 2d animation i love 2d animation this is awesome thanks guys and keep it for the future when i get older

  • I can't believe people actually thought this movie was racist

  • she didnt know she'd be seeing him again

  • Did anyone notice aladdin's magic carpet?

  • @princessdaniat so i take it you try and find all the things they put in the movies too! yea i found it too! good on you!

  • @kyorulz121 Lol I DO! Like in Tarzan there's a tea set that looks like Mrs.Potts and in another scene Mulan's dog, Little Brother falls out of the Professors pocket! and in the Hunchback of Notre Dame you can see Belle reading her book. lol.

  • @princessdaniat dont forget in monsters inc there in\s a nemo stuffed animal

  • @DragonHumanoid yeah and in finding nemo, there is a Buzz lightyear toy in the dentist office

  • @princessdaniat where?!

  • @alphawarrior220 which one were u refering to?

  • It sure looks like a fun place ...although its the FOOD thats really making me plan my vacation there! xD

  • 2:17 WOW! CHESTER MAC'S 50 LB TOMATO WINS PRIZE! oh, and a prince arrived.

  • What I loved about this movie is that it is filled with food moments which is great. I'm 26 and I have to say this is my second favorite Disney Film of all time behind Aladdin.

  • 0:53 The maget carpet from Aladdin? =O

  • finally a disney animated movie that takes place in the 20th century!

  • @sigsoundfan What about Atlantis? Wasn't that in the 1910s?

  • Did any one notice that the newspaper said naveen was the only son and at the end we find out he has a brother and also it says that Maldonia can not be found in any part of the globe.

  • This is a fun song. I love all the New Orleans things that Disney put in this movie. (:

  • Does anyone know what ethnicity Prince Naveen is?

  • @OfficialNicolemma His ethnicity is left ambiguous on purpose. :) A black princess was a huge enough step for Disney for one movie, let alone all the huge discussions that choice led to. Making the prince obviously black or obviously white would have given way too much room for trouble.

  • @OfficialNicolemma

    He's Maldonian

  • @OfficialNicolemma He's supposed to be arab, indian or something like that.

  • @Asperuaca Or brazilian.

  • @OfficialNicolemma Hispanic I believe, but Naveen is an indian name 'New'... so...

  • Thumbs up if you paused in 2:16 to read the newspaper.

  • Disney Movies Will Always Be Better Than Any Other Movies Out There

Better Story , Better Quality And Better Music ♥

  • @cutechixrok101 AH, I wouldn't say that. Lots of old movies that aren't Disney are amazing! Cats Don't Dance, Swan Princess, Fern Gully and All Dogs Go To Heaven! Those aren't Disney films and they are amazing! Though, I do agree Walt Disney has a type of magic others don't :)

  • Im surprised Charlotte didn't notice the Prince walking right past her at 2:55.

  • You have to give it to Tiana. She may be all work and no play...but she's doing her job with a smile. She's not mad at the world, or complaining...some people have high-paying previleged jobs but their faces look like as if they have coupons as salaries.

  • Guys, what do you think is the core song of Princess in the frog? I mean the song that shows the whp;e [point of the movie and of the character's? For example in Mulan there's Reflection, for Alladin it was A Whole New World, Lion king has The Circle of Life...How bout here? Usually those songs are dramatic...

  • @ChocoSyrupOnMyAbs

Hmm,Most likely Dig a little deeper.

  • THAT IS DEFINITELY RANDY NEWMAN :D

  • 0:06-0:36 toy story music!!!!!!

  • @talkindurinthemovie

    THATS WHAT I WAS THINKING!

  • @talkindurinthemovie no wonder it sounded so familiar !

  • "Dig A Little Deeper" 1:02 - Alladin's Lamp ''Gonna Take You There" 1:31 - Same clothes Baloo wears in "The Jungle Book" "Ma Belle Evangeline" 1:58 - Same eye glow concept in "The Aristocats" scene. "When We're Human" 0:35 - Same scene when Baloo carries Mowgli in "The Jungle Book" "Down in New Orleans" 0:54 - Alladin's magic carpet. "Down in New Orleans" 0:52 - Same concept of scene in "Beauty and the Beast" when Belle rides through city.
  • @BakawaiiNya Not to mention the issue with Evangeline as being a firefly or a star (like in the lion king)

  • Did anyone else notice the magic carpet? at :54 :D

  • I love this movie and I love this song by Dr. John....

  • This movie made me want so bad to go back in time and visit New Orleans!

  • Prince Naveen= Sexiest Cartoon everrrr.<3

  • Wonderful because even though a cartoon it captures New Orleans as it was

before Katrina. If you knew N.O. before Katrina then go visit now, first thing

you say is "WHERE IS EVERYBODY?", meaning the 300,000 or so African-

Americans, (which made N.O. what it was, the "soul city"), they got rid of by

not allowing them to return after the storm.

The 9th Ward and other neighborhoods we knew so well are STILL in a

state of WRECKAGE, and you see all white people EVERYWHERE now.

  • I love how They met and they didnt even notice that when they got married XD

  • She only gets a couple seconds of sleep? Poor girl, she is determined. *sympathy expression*

  • who sings this?

  • Tiana looks just like Anika i luv it!!!

  • OMG MY DAD IS EXALY LIKE HER DAD!

  • Oeh, greaaat movie. It's perfect; the voices, the accents, the characters, the music, the story... Everything! <3

  • gaaah!!! Prince Naveen!! <3 :D

  • @simsimma2708 he is sexaiii asa human innit?

  • @pinkangel901 im totally pickig up your ursula reference :D

  • @lawvslight what? Confused good or bad thing

  • @pinkangel901 no good thing :) you know the part where she's like "life's full of tough choices, innit?" i thought you were referring to that :0

  • I haven't felt this enchanted by a Disney musical since Beauty and the Beast.

What really works for me is that this movie has one foot in reality. Instead of a fantasy land we see a realistic woman struggling through life.

  • @LordBifford

Yeah. A woman that becomes a frog. Very realistic struggle through life....

  • @GothicZM that´s not that he meant -.-

  • @LordBifford The artwork in the movie was phenomenal, the actors were amazing, and the music was very good, but the story moved way too quickly. Tiana and Naveen met and hated each other one night, were at least on speaking terms the second night, and by the morning after the third night were hopelessly in love; it just doesn't happen that fast in real life or fiction if the couple hates each other from the get-go. Belle and her prince spent at least a month together before they fell in love.

  • @LordBifford like most other Disney cartoon musicals, this movie was based on a story by someone else. in this case, the novel "The Frog Princess" by E. D. Baker.

  • Has anybody noticed that Tiana is probably the oldest of all the princess's? I mean she's working, and she's able to buy the restaurant. Plus Naveen looks older too. My guess is she may be 19 to 21, not to old but not young either. Naveen looks about 23 or 24.

  • @mitsuchan325 I think Pocahontas is about the same range as Tiana or a bit older. I don't know, she seems older to me

  • @mitsuchan325 I read that Tiana is 19 and Naveen is 20. So they were about the same age as say, Belle and the Beast. Because remember, the enchanted rose that was given to the Beast would bloom until his 21st year.

So yeah, around the same age. I'd say Belle was about 19/20.

  • I'll say this much for Naveen: he takes being shrugged off by a pretty waitress with grace.

  • I hope "Tangled" is as good as this movie.

  • @bohgirl11 It is :3 Another Classic!

  • @Renkel76 I was satisfied!!!! It makes Princess and the frog seem less like a classic though.

  • lol 1.49-2.01 soooooo freakin funny :L best bit in the movie

  • dr.facilier is will smith and eddie murphy put together

  • its about time they bring back classics with a modern twist

  • at the beginning the music and setting give a sort of toy story/lilo and stitch feel, then it turns into a whole different animal :D

  • I LOVE THIS MOVIE! And Lawrence looks like a chimp

  • @kairigirl1331 Yeah, for some reason Lawrence makes me think of an oversized monkey.

  • so much for true love at first sight @ 2:50

  • i wanna go to new orleans sooo bad :3 LOL and burbank--randuy newman was guna sing this song but they didnt want it 2 be 2 smilar to pixar :3 (love this song) ;D

  • oh yea and sumone menthioned on another video 4 this song but at the end when tiana sings about the wedding rings but think its cuz its more recent as in its the 20s not in the 1700s except 4 the little mermaid i think he had a ring but i dun remember :3

  • I love this song and the movie. :)

  • Does anyone notice the number A-113 on the trolley at the beginning? If you watch a lot of Pixar movies it makes sense.

  • 0:53 Someone is dusting down Carpet from Aladdin :O

  • @dowap7 you're right! xDD First I didn't see him (or it?), but then... lol!

  • OMG!!!! I almost can't believe it, Disney still knows how to make good movies. XD I loves this movie, just hope they keep up the good work.

  • Certainly not their best film, but definitely a charmer.

  • Who doesnt Love this Song/Movie?

    I LOVE it!

  • Great song, and as usual, Dr. John delivers the very best of New Orleans....or what was in New Orleans before the displacement of half of its soul and indigenous culture (which remains in exile). Thank you, Disney for using the talents of a New Orleans legend and a true hero. AMECCAnEXILE

  • I love this song :) this movie was the most epic disney movie!

  • Cinderella, Snow White, and Tiana seem to be the only princesses that do any work. Correct me if I'm wrong.

  • @CryptonEncryption Well, those are the only ones who had actual jobs to do on screen. Aurora frolicked while the fairies did most of the work, ariel as an undersea princess didn't have to work, belle worked off screen to support herself, but just read on screen, jasmine ran away but didn't work, and Pocahontas didn't work. Mulan did have chores to do, but I don't technically count her as a princess, due to not being chinese royalty.

  • @CryptonEncryption Giselle.

(If were discounting that Cinderella, Tiana and Giselle were not of royal blood)

  • @KrysOfSorrow we're

  • @KrysOfSorrow

Neither were Belle, Meg, Mulan, or Pocahontas.

  • @HorrorFrogPrincess well, Pocohantas was the daughter of the chief, so it depends on how you define "royal"

  • 1:38 - 1:48 and 2:19 - 2:35 ALWAYS get stuck in my head after I watch this movie

  • The song is really good and the movie, I have to say, is in my opinion very adorable, though it will never be able to compete with the hand drawn Disney. Computer animation is progress, but things that beautiful shouldn't be changed.

  • god damn, naveen is hot. The only thing I love about this movie...

  • @xlefreakcestchic How horny are you, getting turned on by a cartoon. I think I'd like to meet you.

  • @JohnLeeMD ........

  • I loved how Naveen just shrugged Tiana off when she rolled her eyes. Love at first sight this ain't. haha.

  • I love this movie, I love the music in it (: and I'm 18 lmfao! I feel like sucha little kid, but I can't help it. :D

  • 1:43 LOL!

  • My brother and I both agreed that the big guy should have punched Mr. Suave there after turning and grunting at him. It would have been very funny and could actually time along very well with the music.

  • Damn this music is catchy

  • Ah theirs one thing disney is good at and thats its historic accuracy. This Piano work is Louisiana style with the tambarenes and the trupets and such...And also its acurate to the 1920s in Louisiana.

  • there were black soldiers in that time?

  • ahahhaha... i remember quietly having an arguement during this scene at the movies about how they pronounced new orleans

  • Where do you find the video?

  • I must say i was extremely surprised by this movie.Disney not only managed to make another heartwarming and beautifuly hand drawn classic with catchy, memorable songs and an excellent villain, they managed to make a movie with heart, soul, and a story!Welcome back Disney, you outdid yourself again!keep this up and ill forgive you for hanna montana and the jonas brothers!this is how animated movies should be kids! Thanks for bringing my childhood back.Keep 'em comin'!

  • I've never tried be beignets before, but after seeing this movie, I want some. Anyone know where I can get some in NJ?

  • is that honey covered toast with icing sugar on?

  • @TheGameMaster14 It's beignets: a French dessert that's similar to a doughnut.

  • @dsneybuf thank you muchly ;)

  • Just saw this film. IN LOVE WITH ALL OF IT. This song is amaaaaaazing!

  • Disney has touched my heart with the classics but all of this new shit like Hannah Montanana and wizards of Waverly place ruined their Disney magic. but this movie has redeemed themselves.

  • @JackSkelingtonfan Ya so true hate new disney but this was actulley good

  • i knows movies like these keep the disney touch the only new disney i watch is suite life as a dizkid thats my opinion

  • @JackSkelingtonfan LOL so true hate new disney

  • @JackSkelingtonfan totally agree with you! But unfortunately it seems Disney don't want to make any movies like this one again. T_T

  • @JackSkelingtonfan i wish to contest, that it only redeemed them partly...they need to release like three more =D to show they haven't succumbed to their new crap

  • @JackSkelingtonfan sort of, still doesn`t compare to Beauty and the beast and lion king....but it`s a huge step from crap like Hunchback of notre dame 2 and stuff like that

  • @ZakuroMidna The original Hunback of Notre Dame was so bomb, though. I think it was the best of the Disney 2D Movies (but Princess and the Frog and the Little Mermaid are my favs).

  • @strtthshw i agree i totally loved the little mermaid untill the princess and the frog came out, it wins hands down :)

  • HOLY CRAP!!! 0:53 pause. That carpet the woman's shaking out looks like the one from Aladdin!!! Not to mention King Neptune at the end of the movie during the carnvival or wedding thing?

  • @sonicfilms123 omg, it does!

  • What a perfect starting montage. Everything's set in place and laid out right in the beginning.

  • Dr. Facilier's shadow has a Tim Burton feel to it.

  • At 00:52 Aladdin Cameo. :)

  • Really? Where? On the trailer?

  • ....The Aladdin Character appears a little bit before the title appears in this video...On the right on the screen.

  • CARPET!!! OMG! Good eye! I was expecting to find Jasmine walking in the street or something. (Oh, and I made a typo in my previous post. I meant to say "Trolley" not "Trailer.)

  • Actually, in New Orleans, the Trolley is called the StreetCar

  • Really? Oh, like in "Streetcar Named Desire?" Yeah, I guess Trolley is more of a St. Louis or San Francisco term, huh?

  • @Bitsy83

    Yup.

I live in N.O. so, I kinda knew that. X3

But, yeah trolley is more of outside New Orleans term.

  • @theeFri

haha! good catch! don't you just love finding hidden Disney in all their movies?

  • what i like about this movie is that Tiana does play the damsel in distress and Mulan does not count as Disney princess I don't know she is

  • Dr Facilier is the first Disney Villain to appear in a casual manner.

Most Disney villains appear in a dramatic fashion, with some build up. He appears initially as just a street magician. In fact, if he wasn't shown in the trailer, one wouldn't think he was the villain at first.
