I'm a fan of DBZ.....I hated the movie......I also disliked GT too
Both the movie and GT sucked......Gt would have been better if more work went into it, I felt like gt was just slapped together and the movie was put together without the main story. I really wanted a better ending for the series and I really wanted a great live action movie. I hope someone does make another live DBZ but gives it back its story....
The director for this movie is fucking amazing but this movie is horseshit. He made two great martial arts comedies "KungFu Hustle" and "Shaolin soccer" (SP). Like I said dragon ball evo.... HORSESHIT!

Goku vs. Dr. Manhattan... If you're talking DBZ Goku, then Manhattan could possibly win, but would most likely be bloodied and bruised pretty severely in the process. If it's DBE's Goku, then it would end in a tie; Dr. Manhattan would double over from laughter, and DBE Goku would go home in supreme embarrassment in reaction to said laughter.
I like Goku, I LUVers DBZ and I ain't EVER been a fan of the Blue Dong, but the Doc has Several legs up (pun) over the G-man. Now once Goku reaches SS3 that changed a bit but, even at SS1 & 2 Goku woulda got his butt handed to him.
Face it, the Doc had powers that Goku just never could touch. If the Doc ever "Got mad' he could just simply "Will" Goku to Explode! If he got madded than that, the Dr could just travel Back in time and fragg Goku as a baby-

It would be different if the creator was Swiss writing a Japanese character then you could argue Goku's supposed nationality. You even say in your post "he was asian" so I thought that you agreed with alot of people's disappointment :). For all I know Bulma could be a real name I don't have intimate knowledge of Japanese names.

Everything in that movie is so wrong it nothing like the original at all like every two second all your think "that not how it happen" it like they took dragon ball z and then took all the real stuff out and then put a bunch stuff that didn't even relate to dragon ball z and the only characters that look somewhat like the real thing was chi chi and that's just because she was asian that's it. Plus I'm pretty sure all bulma's hair was blue not five fricking strands.
i hav to say i did like the show better but wen you think about it wen hes creating the kamehameha in the movie it does look more like hes focusing his energy and come on the final kamehameha where he put his powers with the ape things that was pretty epic

Through struggle, training and help from his friends, Goku always came out on top over every foe, so he might, but i have never seen a super hero more powerful than Dr Manhattan, and he can basically blow anything up at will, So Goku would either find a way, or he would blow up.
I was into Dragonball to (Dragonball GT didn't even have anything to do with the original writter) and Bulma's my fav character (besides Trunks) so I didn't see the movie for the soul reason that Bulma's hair was the wrong colorXD thats how people identifie her, you can't just change her character design! etcetc, me ranting, blahblahblah, the movie sucked ass

My roommate from last year and I were both raised on DBZ as well, and he convinced me to watch a bootleg online. I made it through about 20 minutes before I had to slam shut my laptop in anger. This movie should never have been made. There's only a handful of anime that will translate well into live action movies, and they tend to be the ones where the characters have semi-normal hair.
And what about piccolo, they only thought he was a demon and true he from time to call himself one, but a real demon? I mean if the movie made it to pass the sayian saga how they gonna explain namka( forgot how to spell it give me a break). Why can't yamca fight? Where's krillen? That's Goku's best friend, fam turned into a sayian BEcause of him getting killed. Maybe I don't got everything wrong or right. But that movie had me confused?
Last time I check Goku took no shit from nobody, hes not bully, but no way in hell could you bully him physically. In the movie if those guys that mess with him told him to do something dangerous, but tricked him into thinking it was ok. Fine but Physically swingin and making it to the party ok I don't think so.
He tells me cause his grandpa said so. I tell him Goku still wouldn't let those guys get away wit it. He trys to hit me with but he got them back at the party. I was On xbox live the other day talking about this movie. Dude tells me that movie is based off the very 1st movie. Which he admits sucks. He says it was perfectly done perfect off that movie. I haven't seen that first movie so idk. Either way I tell him basically this. I know it's called DBE, so i don't expect to see super sayian stuff type yet, but um why is Goku a bitch. Why would anyone pick on him, better yet why would he let them get away wit it.

Everything in that movie is so wrong it nothing like the original at all like every two second all your think "that not how it happen" it like they took dragon ball z and then took all the real stuff out and then put a bunch stuff that didn't even relate to dragon ball z and the only characters that look somewhat like the real thing was chi chi and that's just because she was asian that's it. Plus I'm pretty sure all bulma's hair was blue not five fricking strands.

My roommate from last year and I were both raised on DBZ as well, and he convinced me to watch a bootleg online. I made it through about 20 minutes before I had to slam shut my laptop in anger. This movie should never have been made. There's only a handful of anime that will translate well into live action movies, and they tend to be the ones where the characters have semi-normal hair.
