Lawyers charge for every phone call they make for your case, every letter they write, and they had to fly back and forth, stay in hotels, they charge per hour waiting for court .... I'd be surprised if Constance saw a penny of it.

What part of the gay rights movement isn't worth the struggle? People's happiness, at absolutely no cost aside from a few butt-hurt fundamentalist radicals seems like a worthy cause to fight for to me.

The ONLY valid reasons for banning same-sex marriage are religious ones, and that shit doesn't fly in our country, as much as right wing nut-jobs like to act like it does. The very foundation of our country is the separation of Church and State.

@Bttscks You can do anything you like with your boyfriend as I do with my wife-IN THE PRIVACY OF MY OWN BEDROOM. Once you leave that place and bring it into the public, it becomes offensive to most people. I don't want to see to men kissing one another, nor do I want to see a man and a woman kissing one another. those are private moments a couple should share. Don't flaunt it--it is offensive and disgusting and we don't like it!

In fact, if you claim that's relevant to the prom issue at hand, then may I ask how all of the straight couples dancing and possibly, gasp, kissing, weren't offensive? Just because you claim you don't want to see it, I still don't see people protesting it like they do when it's a gay couple.

It isn't greed, but I would guess the people who have allowed this "mess" to go on are greedy, the only way to punish them is to make them pay from their pockets.
I hope your children are not treated the same as Constance, I would feel sorry for your children as you clearly wouldn't be able to offer the parental support needed because your views are clouded -for whatever reason.

@jnii4 look my daughter is gay so your notion of me not having a clue about this gay debate is unfounded - The only thing that bothers me about the whole gay issue is their policies being shoved down straght peoples throats & how being gay is sooo normal especially down the childrens throats example: within the gay marriage debacle saying in fine print that we had to teach kindergartners about queers WOW!!-what does being gay have to do w/learning ur ABC's ? such an adult issue! They might just put children's learning dvds on where a family unit has 2 men instead of a man and a woman- nothing sexual- that would be harmless! There are parents out there teaching their children hate from a very early age- that is much more damaging. It wouldn't even be "ramming" it down their throats- just not excluding same sex couples.
