That brings back memories,I used to go there regularly with Les Clark in the late 70's. I didn't see any pics of 'Spotty' though,unfortunately I can't remember his real name.

Couldn't find him listed in any of our old programmes. Also looking for a mugshot of him or any other pictures of his car from this period if you have any.

I remember sitting in the stand with my mum eating ham sarnies and watching malky cheshier whipping grame waits ass lol .you had mad max aka kieth miller in the bangers ,once seen him win with 2 wheels

bob jones 151 , 241 charlie miln , robert bruce 330, my old favourite king of hot rods barry 1 and only lee 351. mick duffy collard 19. king of the super stocks bill puller. i was there the sunday 207 ian bruce`s car caught fire. i was there the day spotty mcdougals wheel come off and hit the woman. speedworth scotland rocked. thanks for showing the old photos . i remember the two woman selling them at the back of an escort estate behind the main stand. willie harrison and i were top buyers.

superb collection... just brought it all back. those were the golden years without doubt. bill puller, graham wait, robert bruce and legend barry lee..all thats missing is the guys selling merrymate an mince pies at the bottom of the stands in their white coats.. remember them...lol o and a mention to mike granger our starter who ran between the cars at the start of the races...mental!

I gave starter Mike Grainger and our old commentator John Kelly a mention (+mugshot) at the bottom of the drivers page on the website.

I would have included a mince pie man but I didnt know them by name and in all the years never risked actually eating one ;-)

Thanks man! Great times indeed, we certainly have fond memories of them. The 70s and early-to-mid 80s were probably the best there ever was for this sport.
