  • Hello Irish boy, can I share the capsule with you?

  • what if there's a fire and you're locked inside the capsule?

  • who manufactures the capsules? how do they build these? just plop a few hundred prefabricated capsules in a building?

  • thanks

  • Much better than a shared room....

  • not for honey moon I guess

  • i've slept in a quinzhee ... i'd definately be just fine XD

a must do when i go to japan.

  • they sleep there because they are not fat american or british asses!

  • Dude, I bet some could get claustrophobia from these tiny capsules. According to my calculator, they're only about 7 feet long, 4 feet wide, and 4 feet high. That would so get a person claustrophobic. Thumbs up if you agreed.

  • @darthstarkiller1912 - Dracula sleeps in a coffin, he seems to do alright.

  • HiIMRawn?

  • Is there a bathroom in there?

  • 7 people dont like kip

  • Wow!! I would feel like I'm in a casket!!!

  • im 6 foot would these fit me

  • Haha it would be fun to lock someone in one of those and then cover the glass at the end so they feel trapped XD

  • im clasterphobic doe.

  • i would feel like im getting cremated

  • Wouldn't it get very stale oxygen-wise in there?

  • c est des malades ces japonnais !

  • gotta love his accent :D

  • Do they have capsules for claustrophobics too?

  • Not good for anyone who's claustrophobic

  • looks not long enough, u 'll have ur feet outside. only the japs could fit in

  • @2striptease lol !

  • should claustrophobic people sleep there?

  • the only problem i see is that it isnt long enough... of course i know japanese are shorter.. but... how long is it? guestament?

  • looks like a kennel

  • what does it cost per night?

  • Almost perfect. They should make it just a Little smaller. Then put it in the Ground dump some sand on it and get it over with.

  • shhhh...

  • simply the Japanese consider foreigners inderioir and like dogs..why do u think it so fucking hgard to get a visitor's visa..even worse than for a Muslim to visit US...so they thought dog house capsules fit for us..

  • I stayed in one in June. Its actually pretty big inside, you have enough space to move and even sit down. I'm not fond of tight spaces but for a night or so, capsule hotels are totally fine.

  • Meh, I would like it better it it were more like a coffin, rather than like a dog carrier.

  • Love your accent

  • oh and btw it looks nice just one problem im afraid of being in small places where there is closed lol

  • Lol i wonder what happens if you make a poo while sleeping lol you would probably die

  • @MarkSuperHabbo2

    LMAO!!!

  • Stupid... JAPANESE PPL DON'T SLEEP IN THESE!! THEY R ONLY IN CAPAULE HOTELS FOR GUESTS WHO WANT A CHEAP STAY SOMEWHERE!!!!!

  • i dont think hes english, but thats just me

  • "Japanese people sleep in these" - No they don't, they have a bed like you and me..

  • haha its like a washing machine

  • no showers man!

  • thatd be an easy rape. since they cant escape. but how could you rape them in such a small space. its a contradiction!

  • These type of hotels are just for people from overseas who have no money. or homeless who have little money.

Ordinary Japanese do not use it.

Only rich Japanese people can live in Tokyo.

Only rich people from overseas can visit Japan.

If you want to stay at ordinary big hotel, just pay money.

  • People should have sex in that... really they should.

  • japanese DONT sleep in these you GEEK!

You got what you wanted in japan the curious things you were looking for that s all it is about

come to live in japan for a couple of years and we ll see if you re still that enthousiastic

  • Dragon Ball goes true !

  • Do you know if there are limits on how long you can stay?

  • is there a cover for the door or can people peek in whenever they want? O_O

  • how much for a night??

and is there a toilet and a shower??

  • @kawayeee yes, obviously. capsule hotels have common bathrooms, i stayed in capsule inn in osaka and the bathroom was damn spacious and clean. cant remember the price tho...

  • @MAXwellchikenrice thanks alot ^ ^

  • lol English ppl make me laugh. i don't know what it is. what about when he said ..i never seen it in my life!

  • Lame!!!!

  • so curious...sincerely, did you have problems with sleeping inside? It seems so poky..

  • @SINGULTOPAROSSISTICO Colm slept like a baby the night he was there!

  • I wonder if they give out urination bottles or bed pans with it?

  • @sk9utube capsule hotels have common bathrooms for all the guests. Its not like u'r stuck inside the capsule, they even have large lounges and some (my hotel did) pachinko rooms! its a pretty pleasant experience actually.

  • Sounds like a hell of a lot better than the average homeless mission in the United States with bunk beds and absolutely no privacy.

  • Damn, Japanese People must be impervious to claustrophobia

  • this thing looks like a city morgue ! LOL

  • like a coffin...))

  • Ur supposed to fit in that?

  • i would have thought that "hotel" was a dryer

  • lol

  • luggage aside, I think I'd actually like it :P

(hell I slept in a closet space before and enjoyed it, as strange as it is)

  • @desertgod luggage is kept in a locker

  • Is there a door or curtain you can close? I can imagine restless neighbors would be an issue...

It would be a crazy place for a one night stand!

  • lmao looks like a coffin

  • Be quiet !

    you talk too loud

  • lol

  • Damn , I'm 6 '3..I'd doubt id be able to sleep in there.

  • dang! u talk fast

  • well done mate!

  • but kip is more fun to say XD

  • that comment wasn't aimed at anyone btw ^_^ just adding to conversation

  • i'm british and i don't use that kinda slang i tend to just be normal and say sleep -_-

  • northern irish? ; ) but why not sure lots of people us all kinds of slang that isn't from their area.

  • Nah, just plain ol' Irish. Thought kip was Irish slang to be honest! But yeah, means sleep...

  • KIP

    british slang

    1. kip (n): a rooming house; a room or bed in a rooming house.

    2. kip (n): "bed."

    3. kip (n): "nap;" "rest;" "bit of sleep."

    4. kip (vi; kipped, kipping): "sleep." sometimes used with "down," equivalent to "bed down."

    etymology: danish "kippe," "cheap inn."

    1. after working that double shift, we were all ready for the kip.

  • nights kip....wtf?

  • Kip is slang for 'sleep'

  • if they had these at airports they would rake in the money

  • They do. Schipol has one

  • @shenmue15654 I have often thought of that. Even for an 8 hour layover people might rent one. Biggest issue is in Japan they are male-only, in USA you would need to keep the sexes seperate.

  • It's a good way to not spend all your money in a stupid room where you just sleep.

Because anyway, you will be most of the time outside visiting tokyo, and when you'll be back to sleep, you'll be drunk or tired.

And for those who think it would be really hard to breath in these capsule, i think japaneses have thought about that, there must be some kind of airing system.

From what i've read, it's like 4000 Yen the night (around 30 euros).

Which is cheap for a place to sleep in tokyo.

  • that does sound like a good idea but it freaks me out haha

  • I'm probably gonna feel chlostrophobic sleeping in one of those :(

  • not all japanese sleep in capsules, the hotels are mainly for traveling buisnessmen that aren't going to spend any time in their rooms except for sleep and don't want to spend a lot of money.

  • very informative. I would love to stay

  • it's so smalll, it might be really hard to breath well,,

  • yeah, if you fart and the door is closed...

  • I've stayed in a few. They're ok. Cost between $20 and $40 US. And they were around for a long time before I arrived in Japan (more than 15 years ago...)

  • i woud love to sleep in such a thing

  • Looks like a coffin to me :S Like a morgue with those refrigerated coffins or something. And where are you supposed to put all your stuff? I would hate that - I'd actually rather sleep in a tent.

  • When you check in to one of those hotels you are given a locker to place personal belongings and if need be you are given a place to store luggage.

  • Id like to sleep in one of those, i just heard bout it recently, It would not be that bad if u had Tv and Stuff, As in there. Pretty Nice.

  • that just a hotel

us japanese pplzsleep in bed in our homes

japanese ppl dont sleep in these things duh i know im half japanese and i use to live in japan

    baka baka baka baka baka

oh and aho aho aho lol

    -_____________-

  • so cool!

  • oh my fuck. i would have a goddamn heart attack, im wikid claustrophobic.

  • oh wow those are just chain letters they dont mean a thing just a spam and a joke to pplz

  • Yes! I want to know the price. When I was in Japan 13 years ago, this did not exist.

  • I assure you it did

  • website says currently 4000 yen which wildly translates to the 40 bucks ballpark. Adding this to my list of things to do.

  • its been there for a LONG time more than 80 years i assume

  • i would barely fit in a place like dat

  • About $40 a night. If you're going to Tokyo you should definitely try it out.

  • Well...so did you have craic sleeping there?

  • Would go so far to say I'd 'good craic' staying there, but it was certainly a different experience. If you're going to Tokyo you should definitely try to stay in one.

  • how mutch does it cost to stay in one?

  • pfft, funny stuff.
