Final Fantasy XIII and XIII-2 - North America Collector's Edition Announced!

I got the Crystal Edition, which was exclusive to ebgames in Australia. It has a 4-disc soundtrack, artbook, some pretty postcards, a holographic image of Lightning which looks awesome, and a sexy T-shirt. The whole thing was AU$139 ^___^

For some reason they also gave me a 2nd pre-order bonus (pretty Steelbook case with Lightning on it, some art prints and a DLC code). I kept one sealed, so i might sell on ebay someday.

And the Crystal Edition has the regular retail case inside too (EU version. Different cover). But it says "Not to be Sold Separately" on the back.

So this is what the Collector's Edition is coming with. I got mine at Gamestop, so I'm also getting the Genji Bow for Serah. Anyways, for an extra 20 bux, it;s nont a bad deal... Actually kind of a steal, when you think about how much other games charge for their collector editions.

So it may or may not come in the case lol.

I'm so excited to get my collector's edition next tues the waiting is going to slow for me also i heard from gamestop the guide book for the walkthrough of ff13-2 does not come with the collector's edition but you'll have to pay extra for it too since it comes out the same day as the game.

You do know that Amazon, Walmart, Gamestop, Bestbuy, and Square all give you different things, with Gamestop of course being the best lol, to bad I didn't have a powerup rewards card. I am in egnland and getting the collectors edittion with collectores edittion guide from game for £68. if you preorder from game you get 3 collector art cards and an ingame dlc to fight and captior omega, but no info on the collectors guide.

I just dont like how Lightning is on the cover, and is featured in the title, yet she's not even a main playable character. Frigging only Noel and Serah are. That's the only disappointing thing about this game to me (plus the fact that there's virtually no CGI scenes =()

Very hard to find a true fan of the Final Fantasy series. What there are people who are/was fans of one or another episode, and all they know to do nowdays is follow the series news just to criticize and say that "it was the good on my time, now it is garbage". So pay no attention to haters, realize that each FF has something new and different to offer and has no obligation to please fans of previous episodes.

? Just get FFXIII. It should be cheaper now and it will have a lot of the same elements, not to mention this is the sequel to that game. The first game did not come out all that long ago and will not seem like an old game or anything.

Basically one of the things I have always loved about FF games (pre-rendered movies) will not be in this game because of the 360. Thanks X-box. Fortunately there are many other things I have always loved about FF games. AND FFversusXIII won't be ruined by the 360 :)

@Deadrisingbul1et Your thinking about the 360 version and it's cause of the pre-rendered scenes that the 360's discs could not fit all that data in 1. On the PS3 version it was 1 disk and both are 1 disk for XIII-2.

I've already switched my Standard Edition to the Collectors Edition. For $20 bucks more it's a hell of a deal. Although, they should've included a random figurine in each Collector's Edition, but I'm sure the price would've been around $100. But still reasonable. I just hope Final Fantasy 13-2 will be better than Final Fantasy 10-2. Man was 10-2 a disappointment!

Total noob question, but does the original game case come with it. I like the other box, but it's big and hard to store with my limited room. I like the original 360 cases, just wondering if that is included. I'll most likely get this, if the original standard 360 case is included and store the other box in my coset, just wondering.

You can download the soundtracks. I still think it's pretty cool for the extras, a key chain sword would be nice to throw in, I ordered 2 key chain swords on Ebay. Hm $20 more isn't bad though, I may get the collector's edition depending on how much cash I have to blow around that date.

I think SE are very cheap guys with the North American fans, and i suggest they should apply more special items to the American collector's edition because only 4 discs & art book (plus the game itself of course) are not enough items for one collecotrs edition, and its not fair for those europeans to always get the best collectors editions from SE or from any other video game companies.
