that bit of a grind kept the weak boys to wow and the real hardcore mmorpg players to ffxi. some of us still need that challenge and the great community the ffxi universe had to offer. i can understand them making the new game easier to cater for casual gamers for revenue purposes but I think its gonna have some good challenges and goals to work towards for the real men.

Yeah FFXI is a grind. Though they fixed up the leveling there is a total of o1500 levels you can get with all of the jobs plus 400 job only merits you could get with category 1 costing anywhere between 1-3 merits and category 2 costing anywhere 3-5. Each Merit takes 10,000 exp to get. Plus the stat boosts. It is a grind but I've seen people get jobs to level 75 in 2 weeks. To get all jobs to level 75 and have max merits you would have to play every day for about 2 years and pt for all of it.

FF11 sucks, you people have to stop backing that game up... claim system, made it easy to use bot programs, removed Monster party kill to make it easy on the botters, only bans RMT once the server economy inflates beyond gamer control, they ban to make RMT purchase new accounts to increase thier own revenue in a fiscal year, notice when they banned the RMT... it was always 2months before before the end of a fiscal year, mmorpgs are making a killing on brainwashed gamers, have fun with ff14.

Here's my opinion on a marketing point of view point of view. I think PS3 bought all the console rights for FFXIV to increase their market sales by a certain percentage seeing that MMORPG trend has increased through time due it being more commercial. Thus, Microsoft has no right now to release it immediately because Sony apparently made a higher bid on the share. So they hide the real fact (because its not of our concern) and tell us that they're "considering it"

First of all it's not ONLY exclusive to Ps3, Square Enix held a press conference clearing up misstold information, "FF14 will be launch on Ps3 AND Windows PC then in the future XBox360"

Because Square Enix said it them selves, they are tired of Sony and the way they run things and are looking into releasing the Final Fantasy series too all console gaming platforms. If you look up Sornbeta his information is far more superior because like many of us, he is a FF, mmo, gaming fans.

Consider is not the same as it's in development. They will consider Xbox 360 but at the time this game comes out it will be only on PS3 and PC in 2010.
