  • No way!!!!!....lol.....are you serious?....too odd...but nice...sooooo wonderful if true....But im having some challenges on that concept these days.....amazing

  • can it possibly be? :) If so, I couldnt be have given a nicer gift this very day. Maybe just me....But I will be awe struck!

  • We are sorry for those of you who missed it but it was out of our control at that point.

  • The more I read about this and see the many youtube videos and all their hits and comments, I realize that instead of a flash mob that was "a mess", we touched the hearts of THOUSANDS!!!!!!!!! Way to go Scottsdale! We need to keep spreading the reason for the season!!! Keep the CHRIST, the MESSIAH, in CHRISTmas!!!!

  • @jrandolph6 I don't think the point of the flashmob was to "keep christ in christmas" at all. Despite this piece being obviously religious, it's an extremely well made choral piece. Singing it, and enjoying it, doesn't mean you are Christian, and it doesn't mean you endorse Christianity. There is more to appreciating music than simply appreciating the lyrics.

  • hat's fine, but the people who were mad or upset about it were ridiculous! People were screaming and yelling and mad! That was not the point of doing this! It ended up being more of a Hallelujah Chorus sing-a-long instead of a flash mob. But the original intent was to do a flash mob. Technology is amazing! It is truly incredible how fast this thing spread. So, for anyone upset out there, I wanted to explain what happened. It was an amazing experience that we will never forget.

  • we had to follow their instructions and cooperate with them. Cooperate is exactly what we did. They closed off the bridges, had extra security. At 11:45, they told us we had to start, or they would cancel it, so we did. That is why it started early. As for doing it the second time, a security guard came down and told us we were done, so we obeyed. We didn't want to upset the mall who was very gracious in letting us do this. Whoever started the second time, did so on their own.

  • MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!! Allow me to clarify...my mother, a church choir director in Scottsdale, received permission from the mall a few weeks ago to bring her 100-voice choir to do a true flash mob. An email started to circulate about it and it spread throughout the valley and to sedona and tucson. I have a friend in California that heard about it. In just a week it went from 100 people to what could possibly be thousands. We warned the mall and they told us we could still do it, but

  • The Hallelujah Flash Mob postings have been the highlight of this holy season of Our Lord Jesus Christ's birth celebration. Praise God for these. Our mouths cannot be shut! WE WILL SING IT OUT EVERY OPPORTUNITY!

  • I arrived at the food court five minutes after this. Darn you parking garage!

  • I cant believed I missed this, and I live like 10 minutes away from this mal

  • Just curious, who organized this?

  • @emberfade Kay Randolph. Director of music at Mountain View Presbyterian church. She started with just her 100-voice choir and one email circulated to thousands!

  • I love this. I saw a YouTube video of it in another city. Praising God across America! Fabulous!

  • AZKris - please tel your Dad THANK YOU!!! He saved the day for several of my church members!!!! And, why not do it twice, or thrice, or all day long??? BEAUTIFUL!!!

    Many thanks! Much fun!!

  • @RevKristen - I will! FYI, you can briefly see his hand directing at 0:17 seconds in the lower left. :)

  • One of my all-time favorite songs done beautifully! No wonder my eyes are too watery to see the keyboard!

  • This was a fabulous experience and I'm so happy there was a second performance. Hooray for us! Thanks for this great video too!

  • I'm grateful to have been there today with my family singing. I had no idea there was a second round! We had already left. :( Wish I could have been there for both!

  • This is the best video posted so far. Good job. This video is almost the same as being there !

  • I was one of the thousand singers. This was an amaizing experience! Let's do it every year!

  • Uuuggghh...I wish I hadn't left Arizona so soon for home...Awesome..truly beautiful. Praise be Jesus, now and forever

  • FYI - my dad was the one who started this performance. Mall security told the director "no" to a second performance. Unfortunately, so many people had missed the first and were just standing around disappointed. My dad (former choir director) hopped up on a chair facing the movie theaters & just started it up. Dozens of people stopped him afterwards with tears in their eyes because they thought they had missed out and were so happy for the chance to join in. :) Glory to God.

  • @azkris10 - I went up to your dad afterward & thanked him. So many people would have been disappointed not to hear it. I was so happy to be able to hear it twice. Beautiful.

  • @lotuslisa - Thanks for telling him. I was one of the ones who missed the first time by only a few minutes, so I was thankful, too! (FYI, I watched this closely and saw that right at 0:17 there is a quick glimpse of his arm directing.)

  • My son and I were there singing together and will have that memory forever. The mall told the director to start early to encourage people to leave because it was so packed. Apparently ABC15 leaked it on TV (which defeats he purpose of a flash mob) and people came to watch, Well it backfired- no one left and we did end up getting to do it again. It was awesome!

  • What a great experience! I was shopping at Fashion Square and saw loads of people near the food court, so I knew something was going on. The singing was amazing - filled the entire mall! I noticed that a bunch of people were wearing little white buttons. Were they all from the same school or church?

  • @Smacadoodle The white buttons were given to us when we left. I am not sure who was giving them out but it was nice of them They said kindness and the definition. I was not with any particular group.

  • This is a really good video of this fantastic event. I almost left before the second time. I loved the way people ran up and shared music with me. What a great experience.

  • Thanks for posting this - it's the first I've seen of the second time through. It was thrilling to be there singing today! Merry Christmas!! :)

  • Great video!! We're waiting for one to be uploaded from the other side, so maybe we can spot our singing! :) What an amazing experience. Thanks for posting this. (Great quality, too!)
