  • Jackie Brown brought me here :)

  • I was 11 when this came out. 41 years later, it still sound great. Great!

  • that is I had 3 older brothers and sisters NOT 43!

  • I am so blessed to have been a kid in the 70's with 43 older brothers and sisters who listened to this music. Happy memories of childhood. I am 46 or so now, have never been married (was with my sons father for 20 years though) but if I ever do get married I want this song played at the reception.

  • @Loah66 marry me. even if it,s just to hear the record again

  • Goose fuck'n bumps

  • Yes you surely have ....a second time around .... T xxTxx

  • I thought my husband was the only one with turntables and 45's former DJ from the old day lol but he got all the new stuff too lol you know you can take all that old stuff and put it on your computer its neat your old turntable and your 45's get hooked up with this little box (I forget what is called) to the computer and then you can burn them on cd (hes saving the 45's there gonna be collectibles lol) but thanks for the music

  • ohhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!the philadelphia sound of the early 70's. i'd just moved to Lambeth , Ontario in '70. What great artists...nearly as amazing as the Motown sound. the soundtrack of my pre-teen years, and yes, makes me think of Jackie Brown as well. Great soundtrack to a great movie.

  • it feels so good to great old songs like this. it reminds me of when i was a kid sitting there with my little rechord player playing songs like this. thanks for posting

  • This is how recorded music SHOULD sound. Not some digitally re-mastered crap through some expensive equipment. It should sound raw and with all the clicks in place and played on a 1960's Dansette record player! Oh yes!

  • @DarnSarf. Agreed! Screw the digital establishment!

  • I didn't know you liked the Delfonics.

    They're pretty good.

  • Beautiful tune and beautifully used in the movie "Jackie Brown" ..

  • A real old, heart-tugging beauty!! Many thanks for posting.

  • LOVE THIS ...Miss listening to WABC (AM Radio) growing up as a kid in Harlem ! What's up to Cousin Brucie & them from back in the day ...I agree - the "crackling" & "pops" also adds fond memories (per "generation booms" comments).

  • Jackie Brown! Everytime I hear this song I think of that movie =)

  • Jackie Brown's favorite song.

  • the delfonics were so good! i was in college when this first came out.i got to grow up with all the the great soul groups and singers starting in the 50's. there are some great voices out there today-i just wish the songs they are writing and singing were better, and i know they can do it-look at r kelly, and some other young ones doing songs more like the older soul songs. i'm not critical of their voices-they're great-the songs now just do not showcase their great voices! thanks for posting!

  • i cant understand how anyone cant like the The Delfonics? Its just classic good music!!!

  • jackie brown !!!!!!

  • 45"s will always be ALIVE!!

But fear not, Big Apple, 'cause we got three, three, triple three cats from Philly to warm ya up. The brand-new single from The Defonics - Didn't I...on 77 WABC New York".

  • Lovely tune .

  • I am from Phoenix, AZ and we used to cruise south centrel and flirt with ll the cute chavalos with the nice lowriders and tricked out stepsides. great times!

  • This current Age of Electronics is awesome, but its moments like this when I feel like i was born 30 years late . . .

  • I've always loved this song. I think it's one of the most beautiful songs ever. There was so much great soul music in the '60s and '70s, just like pop and rock then. I just figured the music would always be great. Didn't know it would become a lost art. Thank God for youtube.

  • @minorsouthside oh shit thats right

  • This is just one of the most beautiful songs we'll eva hear. There's just nothin like the sound of the old school... from the immaculate vocals of the artists, the instrumental arrangements, the content of the music... just pure, unadulterated musicianship. And everytime the chorus of this song hits, it's of the most melodic beauty on the planet.

  • @generationboom Come on, you miss, Cousin

Brucie rap with you! Did you drink wine in the backseat

of your car when this song came on?

    Don't lie!

  • @generationboom I hate it I keep thinking I'm somehow back in the late 70's and I freak out. One of my worst nightmares is somehow being sent back in time with no way home and having people think I'm insane for telling them about the future.

  • Thanks for posting. This is a great song.

  • The Delfonics made an album of the same name. Does anyone have it? There are some songs off of it that I'd like to hear again.

  • Great Song !

  • Thx for sharing! :)

  • what inthe hellis wrong with these videos that they won't play right? who is messing with this stuff and why? this is outrageous!!!

  • Polystyrene copy with painted-on label.

  • Original Philly Groove label, but the sleeve is from late 60s/early 70s. Those are the colors Bell used just before the changeover to Arista -- black "bell & record" logo w/black border on red. The last Bell label was logo/rainbow arc in black ink on gray, and DJ copies were red on white.

  • Thank You
