Someone was right when they posted on another of these videos that this game sucked you in, it really did, graphically and mechanically it may not have been the greatest game of the time but something about it just sticks with you. I have so many great memories of just exploring the lands as Filial the Necromancer, soaking up the atmosphere and hunting ents, koblds, trolls and golems. No other game stirs the same nostalgic feeling as Rubies.

I never actually got this sweet-looking game to run properly on my then-shitty computer, but one thing I do remember was the amazing login music. So glad someone posted it.

Just hearing this song sends shivers up my neck. This game was one of THE MOST intense, and utterly addicting games ive ever come across. Cross-genre speaking; it happily ate 2x as much of my time as did Battlefield 1942. Thats a statement too! sooo much care, and personality was incorporated into this game by the makers, that I truly feel sorry for ALL users that never found out what having TRUE gamedevelopers means; these days that title has been banished by corps and dollar signs.

this game is what inspried me to make my own vgd company. if something as beautifull an great as this game can fall, then the wrong people are in vg power. ty for uploading this, its my favorite game sound track of all time.

I miss this game so much. Someone needs to emulate a server for it. I played it back in it's golden age when it was new :P Now it's gone. Well theres always evercrack II...
