Unlimited ammo isn't cheating but it isn't the way I choose to fly and takes almost all of the impact out of anything kool you might do. I don't know if he is using unlimited ammo but this doesn't really seem to skilled to me for some reason. He'd probably been trying this over and over till he finally got it right one time.

Blazing angles is a poor simulator, and the BF109 did NOT have that kind of maneuvering and its weapons were out matched(2x13mm 1x20mm /optional 2x20mm gun pods) when facing 11, 50cal's in one B24 that has armor.

@paulyp17 For the 13mm heavy machinguns maybe (I really don´t know). For the main Mk108 cannon just 10 seconds (65 rounds at 650rpm). I don´t know how much ammo did the cannon gondolas have, but it can´t be more than just the double of that, meaning no more than 20 seconds.

Bf 109 G6 really was armed with

1 nosed mounted 30mm cannon

2 nosed mounted 7.92mm

13 mm (.51 in) MG 131s replaced the 7.92mm in the G5, G6 and all models after. Only one variant, the G-6/U4 had the 30mm cannon, the others had the 20mm. Talk about firepower, the ME-262 had 4

Although the Me-262 was armed with 4x (nosed mounted) 30mm cannons, they didn't hold a lot of ammo. The top 2 guns had 80 rounds and the bottom 2 had 60 adding up to 140 shots.... not a whole lot.

You did not need a lot of hits with the

30mm even on a 4 engine bomber. My

2nd cousin was in a B17 (Tail gunner) and can verify. He just said "Damn! What was that?" before he (luckily) bailed out. Cheers back at ya! Thanks.

Well for very experience pilots they would have been good enough to bring down a bomber pretty quickly. The B-17 could fly on 2 engines and it would roughly take 4 to 5 hits to completely destroy an engine with a 30mm cannon..... depends. If it was an unexpeienced pilot, they would probably only get to kill 1 bomber before running out of ammo.
