Because people inside China may not have the chance to see outside world objectively due to biased media in China, Chinese people may not completely see the truth and the political purposes. I would like to comment that, in fact unfortunately, this is no different in the west. I am not suporting either of them.
Also, as for this time Tibet incident, I would say, the mistakes that the west media made created the current problem, which appears to many Chinese that the west made the mistakes on purpose, perceived as provoking ethnic conflicts in China. The issue is that this gave a great opportunity for Chinese government to unite Chinese which may not be easily achieved under normal circumstances. In fact, there are people criticizing the government, but their voice has yet to be heard.
You make some good points. For whats its worth, im not entirely pro-Tibetan. why the Tibetern outside Tibet advocate separation? bcoz they were the ones mastered Tibetern decades ago when Tibet was a slavery society. Tibet become aprt of China begin from 1000 years ago!!!!!!!!!!!
