Firstly - funny stuff; however standing that close to a kinetic strap in use is asking for trouble, and so is attaching it to a towball. bad ju ju right there

Yeah, but if you fancey coming along next time you are welcome to get up to your knees in goo in order to place a rope around the chassis. Towballs are certainly not ideal but the two used for that recovery have been proven very strong. Attaching a kinetic rope with a shackle can be just as dangerous.
