I heard this for the first time about a week ago. I laughed my ass off and had to download it. Just shows that the Beatles were one of the all around greatest of all time. And this is from the drummer. WOW!
Ringo's 7 the and final top 10 hit. Written by Hoyt Axton, and featuring Nilsson on backing vocals.. this was the second single from 1974's " Goodnight Vienna " and charted #3 on Billboard on 02/22/75
I LOVE this song! It is such a fun sing-along , especially at parties. Ringo never had a great singing voice, so the song choices and production on the songs he did for his solo stint apart from the Beatles had to be interesting and unusual (this and Early 1970 comes to mind), or layered in a grand and lush way (Photograph, It Don't Come Easy, etc). Ringo loved country music, and this novelty from country star was just amusing and unusual enough to get him into the top 5 one last time.

@zbestwun2001 thank you, yes I just now actually found Hoyt Axton himself singing it, can even hear Chich Maron talking in the back ground.

I always have liked Ringo's Schtick. A character he is and I like his music.
