Auto-Regen totally breaks the game. I was able to steal from the Nova Dragon later in the game for almost an hour straight to get the Grand Armor (total waste of time), and I didn't even have to heal, it couldn't touch me.
I like fishing in both Breath of Fire 3 and 4, it's fun ^_^ and some how u can catch whales *_* in ff9 aparintly u catch Qu's xD hmm dunno why but Quina reminds me of a frog with its long toung, but s/he eats frogs.... oh well it's ff9, I love this game lots ^_^ i try hard not to think about it to much
Zombies don't have Self Destruct, they cast Roulette, which is just as annoying as it was in Final Fantasy V. Random target, instant death. Strangely, Zombies and other undead don't have immunity to death magic in FFIX. :P So it can backfire spectacularly. Oh, and Quina learns Roulette from them.

Example: Moonstone- Carbuncle casts reflect and shell. (I think, it could be reflect, shell and protect. Or just shell and protect.)
I think you can do it to three other items. Sadly, I do not remember them right off-hand. I have not played FFIX in months. ^_^"
Does Esuna cure petrify? If so, couldn't it be used on those stone enemies? Just a thought.

The tree's name in japanese, roughly translated, is Tree of Eva. I'm guessing when they translated it, they mispelled it or they did it on purpose intending to make it seem different. So when pronouncing it, just presume it is like saying Eva for Iifa.

It's one of the things you learn as a child: little boys aren't allowed into the women's restroom, and vice-versa. So, for some guys, being able to take a leak at the same time and place is a way of expressing/asserting solidarity in masculinity. It's social rather than sexual.

fishing takes patience, but catching a fish you can eat.........so damn satisfying (im not the most patient person in the world either, but DAMN is it satisfying to know you caught something delicious and get to eat it later so worth the time invested in it.)

The Iifa Tree is my favourite non-civilised area in the game for what you pretty much said [and more], HCBailly. It is literally at the heart of the whole game after all too.
I can't remember, but did you not miss a hidden item at the opening to the Iifa tree? I believe there was something there....but chances are I'm wrong lol.
Unfortunately, the Zombie has the Blue Magic Roulettee, and you don't get Quina until Disc 3 which means you have to come all the way back here for that one Blue Magic because the other ones you can get from other creatures sooner, this is worse than going all the way back to give the kupo nut to get the reward. :(

Anyway I rather like the Party you have now. The Magic party is actually pretty fun and it's not like the mages in this game are super weak (especially with the right abilities). It's not my favorite party but almost... Almost.
I usually give Eiko the pinion now before I start to work on passive abilities. Phoenix is amazing in this area. I'll try out your method this time though, it won't be as easy without the help of phoenix but I should be fine.

Eiko may have fewer summons, but they can take multiple forms. In addition to Carbuncle casting "reflectga" other stones can have it do a Hastega, Shellga, or another "buff-all". Fenrir can be changed up to be a Wind summon instead of Earth.
Oh, you can put a certain flaming feather in Eiko's hair now, if ya know hat I mean
I did so much H&C Chocobo and Doing side quests in this game, well I am already in disc 3 now I am getting the gold chocobo now, got the airship and doing the hidden treasurer.

About those Stropers, my strategy for them is to have Zidane steal from them, usually he gets a soft, then on the next character's turn, I have them use it on the Stroper, its a very easy way to deal with them and you will NEVER run out of softs, because you are using the one Zidane just stole.
@Werewolf211 MP+10% and Auto-Potion are both learned from Magician's Robe, which she'll definitely be using at some point. Reflect-Null can only be learned from one other piece of equipment in the game which I won't be getting until Disc 4.
@HCBailly you could have put it on her instead of the pearl rouge after she learned the other two things for it, to get progress on those other two abilities for free however(talking about the last equipment change in the video).
I /almost/ liked fishing in Twilight Princess. It was waaay more engaging than world of warcraft, but I still did spend a long time trying to spot where the fish were which was tedious.

I lol'ed when I saw Eiko playing the flute at 12:02. Nice touch, Square.
This whole sequence is starting to remind me of the first Tower of Salvation sequence in Tales of Symphonia, for some reason. That was a cool game.
Oh, and on male bonding: when my Dad was a kid, he and his friends used to swim to this island a few hundred feet from the American Falls dropoff and pee into the river. I guess it makes sense: I'd be scared piss-less too if I was that close to the gorge. xD

I just love how even though Eiko looks like a summoner, she's more of a white mage, and Garnet, even though she dresses like a white mage at the beggining, she's actually more of a summoner. You call tell by their Trances.

Eiko may have fewer summons, but they can take multiple forms. In addition to Carbuncle casting "reflectga" other stones can have it do a Hastega, Shellga, or another "buff-all". Fenrir can be changed up to be a Wind summon instead of Earth.
Oh, you can put a certain flaming feather in Eiko's hair now, if ya know hat I mean

I did so much H&C Chocobo and Doing side quests in this game, well I am already in disc 3 now I am getting the gold chocobo now, got the airship and doing the hidden treasurer.

About those Stropers, my strategy for them is to have Zidane steal from them, usually he gets a soft, then on the next character's turn, I have them use it on the Stroper, its a very easy way to deal with them and you will NEVER run out of softs, because you are using the one Zidane just stole.

I noticed that Extension also had Level Up, so you could use that instead of the Pearl Rouge and still get the Level Up.

@Werewolf211 MP+10% and Auto-Potion are both learned from Magician's Robe, which she'll definitely be using at some point. Reflect-Null can only be learned from one other piece of equipment in the game which I won't be getting until Disc 4.

I /almost/ liked fishing in Twilight Princess. It was waaay more engaging than world of warcraft, but I still did spend a long time trying to spot where the fish were which was tedious.

there was this fishing game for... dreamcast I think, and it was awesome. the entire game was fishing, but you had a controller that was shaped like a fishing rod. it was intense fun.
