This vdeo made me cry. Kingair81r he is already flying again. This tragedy...2 years later...still makes me sad. I can't believe they died. When I heard it I actually thought Bruce had been the one in the crash. I grew up with 3TV and to lose those men like that just tears me apart. Rest in Peace Jim Cox and Scott Bowerbank.
I don't think so. I did ask him the other day if he'll be flying again and he is doing some flying over in California. But as far as flying News Copter 3......I don't think so. They actually fly it to their Texas station and it's already got a new wrap on it. So the days of News Copter 3 flying, I believe is over.
That morning will forever be in my memory. Woke up to my TV being on FOX after watching Seinfeld the previos night...You guys are missed and will always be loved.
We miss you guys! I'll never forget the day we flew formation to Mexico... it was great. Please say hi to Alisa Urschel too, she was diagnosted with Leukemia the day of the accident, and passed away on January 2nd, 2008. Please take care of her in Heaven.
Thanks for posting this. Apparently Scott was 2nd or 3rd cousin of mine, and as a cinematographer I'm sorry I'll never have the chance to work with him.
Just caught this video. So sad. Seems like they were some fun guys and enjoyed their jobs and their lives. May their families heal and may their legacy live on.
