Hey, this is awesome. I have the vaguest recollection of watching this race as a 3 year old with my dad. And ESPN Classic has never aired it over the years AFAIK. Thank you.

Such hyperbole. ABC-TV really layered their broadcasts with bombast. The Indianapolis 500 is a neat event, however.

After about 6 minutes, the audio falls behind Jim Mckay & Sam Pose's Lips. But that's minor since most of the race is focused on the cars.
