@streaklyern well, there is a way to make it retract and extend automatically but that requires a lot of custom metal pieces which i dont have the tools for. but honestly i feel this concept is more accurate to reality. see people dont understand that in the game this is a fictional weapon therefor to make it reality you must modify the fantasy concept so that it may be reality, while leaving the key points visible: concealment, practicality, operational, and just plan awesome :)

@FalloftheMorningStar i built an auto ejecting one that mounts to my ar-15's(real) and m416's(airsoft) R.I.S. and put a cold steel training blade on it so it works as a "hidden" bayonet :) i think its pretty effective

@JohnDavisCallahan lol well if i were to punch someone it would come out but if i wanted to i can make a very simple locking mech in the back that unlocks when a string is pulled.and to open it w/o moving ur arm is possible but requires alot of custom made parts. i have a design but lack the tools and materials to make it

The problem is : try to do some parkour, then fighting; with all your moves you could open it without expectting it.... The best thing (according to me) would be to press a button on the top of your arm, which would open and close the blade no ? (we can see this kind of move when throwing darts, is it just for aiming or activate it?)

I like it because it stays locked out so it's realistic in the way that you could stab something and it wouldn't retract. Obviously it'd be better if you didn't have to use momentum to get it out, but I can't really think of any way to have it pop out and back in without momentum so congratulations on showing us the best one yet!

@beepboopbopers i have another design that uses a clock-work OTF mechanism but i need to construct each a every part of the mechanism by hand with metal. i just dont have all the tools to do so....if a had a laser cutter or something it would be nice :) but to make it using budget items would take a lot of time, money and possibly blood lol
