And coincidentially the folder was created just the same day this video was created, while all other files were created when you set up your windows about a year earlier. ;) Just for your case files: OOBE is for "Out Of the Box Experience", and only because that folder is a system folder, this song isn't a "hidden easter egg". :D
Here's how to get the music. Method 1: Other XP computer Method 2: Winxp cd 1: Start, run, %windir%, press enter double click on system32 double click on oobe double click on images copy title.wma to a flash drive You have it 2: Insert xp cd double click on cd drive double click i386 drag title.wm_ and expand.exe to desktop click start, run, type "cmd %userprofile%\desktop" press enter type "expand title.wm_ title.wma" You have it
There IS a secret song in Windows XP, Vista, and 7. You never hear it, and yet, it's there on your computer. It is called Onestop. Follow these instructions (For Win7) to hear it: Click start and then Computer. Go into your hard drive and click on a folder called "Windows". Scroll down to "media". Open the file. Onestop.mid is there. People need to know about this, it's pretty epic. And it's just chilling there, on your computer... Check it out anyway.
@TheOrdonianHero Don't forget town.mid and flourish.mid, also in that location. Town is pretty cool but I think Onestop is the best. Everybody should check those out! Also, in XP I'm pretty sure there was a little clock animation in that folder too. Windows 7 is missing it, but no great loss.
Is this the song that plays when you start XP for the first time? I think if your audio hardware is PnP you can hear this song, otherwise you have to install drivers later and never get to hear it :O
How to get: look up how find Windows XP secret song, do it and copy it onto a flash drive (on a Windows XP computer, you don't have to do the lookup part on that) Note: DON'T DELETE IT, MOVE IT, OR RENAME That when it's in system 32) Than Plug the flashdrive in Windows 7, copy the file, & done!!!
I know the secret, it is that he imported some of the files from Windows XP and made it to where Windows 7 won't see them (or read them as system folders)
Makes no sense, I may not have & ultumate, I have home premium and have tred to use your video to find it in my ASUS laptop and their wasn't even an imiges file, and another thing 1.25 Gs of ram on 32 bit? I dont know how u could upload this video! Mine is 64bit with 6 Gs of ram!
@MrRipsta911 Well now I'm pretty sure my computer is better than your phone. I have a 3.40 GHz 4 core intel i7 2nd gen and 8.00 GB of RAM with a msi R6850 cyclone video card.
INFO: This song is played when you install Windows XP on computer with sound card drivers installed. This song is localized in WINDOWS\system32\oobe\images.
INFO 2:THIS SONG IS NOT LOCALIZEN IN ALL COPIES OF WINDOWS XP!!!
The windows welcome music... I have no idea where it came from but it showed up in my Samsung Media thing for my mp3 player on my mom's XP laptop. ...I love it though!
@xGameingFIN But your windows is xp...my windows is seven and this video is showing this music on windows 7,for the people find in WINDOWS 7,but in the windows seven don't has.
@Mininecati: there was in Windows XP's original OOBE folder - He probably has this song on his PC because he upgraded to Windows 7 from Windows XP - only he would have had to upgrade to Windows Vista first, as there is no possible direct upgrade path from Windows XP to Windows 7...
@jd030602362 but the dude of this video has win7 / 32 bits, like me, and i havn't got "images" in C:\Windows\system32\oobe... i've got in C:\Windows.old\Windows\system32\oobe
