Welp, guess I'm late to the party. Didn't watch this when it was first put up, then I kept forgetting to. Derp.

Anyways, the bad Photoshop colouring on the Baldur's gate map amused me a bit. Guess no one had invented the no dodge/burn on a digital painting rule yet.

Damn, man. TIE Fighter was one of my most-played games growing up and is one of my all-time favorites. I'm not sure if I had the regular or the collector's, but I bought it new when the game wasn't. Future Shoppy was selling all of its hidden stock at the time. It came in six floppy discs. I would NOT even dare think of throwing it out, even just a fabric of the box. You kind of made me sad! TIE Fighter was the only Star Wars game, I recall, that only let you play the Imperials in single player.

@ForfiniteStories My copy of TIE Fighter (a CD-ROM) is very dear to me. The Mac port came years later than the PC version and Lucas Arts actually took the time to improve on the graphics and sound. As far as the box goes, it was a pretty cheap. There was no cardboard to protect the disc and no manual of any kind except for a sheet of paper stating: "Insert Disc and Double-Click the Install icon". At the end of the day, I had to get rid of some of them.

@Cornbag I'm sure Zelda games are not Gix's type of game, I however enjoyed beating Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess myself, I consider it a Semi-action RPG. In my honest opinion, OoT had better items, but I liked TP's atmosphere, plot, and combat better.

I've played them long enough to know that the lack of a journal makes it harder to come back to and figure out what you were supposed to do. I specify the top-down games because anything with a 3D chase camera on a console makes me rage.

I have an entire uhe bookcase full of my games. I try to avoid steam when i can i just love having a game with its box, especially collectors editions. They just look great and lots of effort is put into them, i particually like my AVP3 one its like a tin case with Xeno and predator art on the front. I don't know what it is i just love having the boxes displayed lol..

You should keep the discs and boxes together. I get a little bit of a tingley feeling when I see original game boxes, and I think it would make it so much better to a collector if you kept the original disc with the package. You can always just re-buy a new cheapy version of the games to play since some of them don't hold the same sentimental value. That Baldur's Gate map is awesome btw; that city was pretty confusing.

@gixg17 Holy Shit! Tie Fighter. As a teenager me and my friend played the shit out of that game. Tie fighter fans are so hard to come by. unfortunately, it's that rarest of things - an absolute classic that seems to have slipped of the radar for some reason. Did you ever attempt to get all the bonus objectives. I have a sneaking suspicion it might be impossible. I attempted it and I've heard other people say they've done it but (huge surprise!) never come up with the evidence.

I'm so glad you put this up, you are one tall dude! I know that it might be because the cam is at an upward angle, but using the bookcase as a reference guide you can better gauge the height. Anyways, you have quite a nice collection of games, reminds me of my PC game collection. The only exception is that I also have Xbox, PS1, PS2, and Xbox360 titles as well :P. Enjoy the rest of your vacation and don't be in a rush to pick up with LPs, have fun. Besides, there is plenty time for Skyrim.
