  • Was thinking of purchasing one of these for a while now. Great demo! Think I made up my mind, thx

  • so how much work is involved in fitting the TK1 to a standard strat? (already routed)

  • is it fairly easy to fit? i am building my own Strat, got the body from Custom Guitar Bodies in Aurora, Colorado, USA. does it come with full instructions on precise fitting?

  • I will buy one if he doesnt beat me up

  • Just played my first gig with the Trem King on my American Special strat. I LOVE THIS THING !! Dives, swoops - whatever - and I'm still in tune. I am amazed at how much more versatile it is than the standard tremmy. You can freakin' wamp on this thing and still be in tune.

  • have you done any other mods to your strat?

  • 1:25 omg yh thats just SOOOO awesome XD

  • is there no problem of out of tune while bending and dive bomb?

  • @sirkamla No, it won't go out of tune. Cool thing is with bends is that it won't detune the other strings while bending!

  • @rockform okay, can i put it in ibanez mikro?

  • @sirkamla Should work on the Mikro, only check the depth of body for clearance. If the body is not thick enough you will run into issues. But it looks like it would be perfect!

  • The guitar looks like a Yamaha Pacifica ...em I right ?

What are those pick ups ?....very nice tone Cory

  • @gitarysk : Nope the guitar is made by Tradition guitars . It's model G120 F SP. The Trem-King comes as stock equipment on this guitar. I just recently purchased one myself. : )

  • Is it possible to take out the trem arm for storage purposes ? , and also does it work with the origional fender trem arm?

  • @13Musicmachine it slides out.

  • I have one of these on a 30" scale baritone that I tune anywhere from a full octave E below standard to C below standard & the trem works great.

  • I like his playing. What band is this guy in & send me some names & links =)

  • Compared to kahler?

  • @FahimMotoGP Same sorta feel of a kahler, not stiff like a Floyd. Real expressive!

  • i think its the guys playing thatis so good

  • it looks like this mixed with a super vee locking nut would be the best way to go.

  • @liothelion4 The key is, there is no locking nut. It doesn't need it!

  • @rockform why would it not need it, wouldn't the strings still get caught at the nut just like any guitar without a locking nut

  • Comment removed

  • @rockform there's no locking nuts?

  • @rockform how much?

  • @sirkamla I believe the street price is about 150.00 installed. Of course, prices vary, but totally worth it!

  • @rockform ahm do you think it can be also installed in ibanez mikro? coz' mikro has a fixed bridge, just need to route.

  • Can it do full floating? I like to switch between full floating and a zero point configuration like this. That should be technically possible but I haven't seen it anywhere.

  • @jasperoosthoek No floating. It basically acts like a fixed bridge until you move the arm...

  • Is it possible to remove or change (even though i won't have reason to change) the tremolo arm on these systems?

  • @ziger824 Yes, you can change it, though like you say, there's no reason to...

  • It certainly looks like a fantastic bridge and trem, Being able to drop tune or break a string and not having to re tune. I want one, I'm wondering though... How do you set it up? I mean after its attached to the guitar.

  • @oldmusicrevisited It's pretty easy to maintain. The only adjustments I've found needed were my saddles (those damn set screws for height adjustment) and slight tension adjustments. No brain surgery, that's for sure. Plus they have awesome support team!

  • @rockform Ok, thanks.

  • Very soft spoken dude, for a very mean looking/playing guitarist :D top stuff... the dude and the trem kim

  • is this the TK-3 im looking at? and are the trem kings non-locking?

  • I like Texas blues and that means bending a lot of strings. I never liked the floating trems because you bend one string, and the rest go out of tune. It seems like the tremking does not do that. That drone note note example was what I was looking for. I also have looked at the stets bar, but it is over $300.

  • Can the tremking do jeff beck style warbles?

  • @TheFreemanProject09 Probably not without extensive modification of your guitar like filling in the floyd cavity and re painting the guitar.

  • I'll buy one some day. It seems to have a lot of things going for it like not going out of tune if a string breaks and not making other strings ring when playing other notes. Seems really professional.

  • During the outro guitar solo his guitar sounds a little out of tune.

  • @hendrixkixas I dont know but it seems to be something a tremelo does to the strings

  • No, man. I mean after he goes back into normal position (with the bar untouched), he sounds a little out of pitch.

  • Sounded like it on the intro as well. ;D

  • that sounds way cool, but u need to route. forget it.

  • So what fender's come with the tremking?

  • none. You have to buy the kit and have it installed

  • wow allmost a floyd rose =o

i guess this one is good for rock or something... but for metal and xtreme dive bombs and a lot of xtreme bending, i guess a floyd with locking nuts is better. but this bridge looks preety good =) i would own one of those

  • but i dont se why you cannot use a floyd locking nut.

  • maybe bcos u dont even need it, but...personally.... im more into the floyd rose sistem

  • Using different tunings is easier as he sais, and your other strings won't go flat when you bend a string, things like that.

  • This is sicknasty. And the TK-3 is designed for guitars with fixed bridges!

Now, if only they made it for 7 strings

  • Hi I got a Tremking and its a winner I put it on a custom strat and she works just put some bens sauce on the rollers on each string and it works just like the video states thanks tremking and if you need help you can call then and talk to someone there and thats great too know!!!!!

  • did you have your guitar routed? I am thinking about buying one. but I don't like someone work on my guitar.

  • @ycformosa Nuts man, it is a piece of wood that you can shape, cut and alter, not like operating on a living thing. Being precious about inanimate objects is very limiting to the spirit.

  • The trem king is good, but IMO the FR is better, provided it's a good one.

  • I played one of these today (March 17 2009) And it is as good as they say. No strings vibrate that you don't want to, The strings stay in tune, You can change tunings easily. I didn't try Ricky Wilson tunings (Tricky, those) But I liked it and would put a Trem King on just about any guitar, Squier Jagmasters included.

  • Tremking is actually pretty cool and handy to have. especially if you play a lot of lead notes.

  • Nice demo.

  • Apart from the item itself which seems great, you do an extremely fine job demoing. Loved your stuff. I myself use a kahler killer 2710 with auto latch and spyder 2730 with auto latch on my Peavey Vandenberg customs which I love (prefer the killer actually of the two) but wouldn't mind giving this tremking a go.

  • i have 1 and it works fantastic

  • I think that it doesn't work.

  • the huge bar handle looks fucking rediculous.

  • How does this compare against the new Ibanez ZR2 bridges equipped with the ZPS3 spring systems?

  • The ZR2 bridges are infinitely superior. I'll start with the fact that it is a double-locking system, and double-locking > non-locking in tuning stability. The ZR2 has fine tuners to tune after locking the nut. The ZP3 is made of duralumin which is light, and doensn't need a big trem cavity. You should try it, it's incredible.

  • The idea with behind the TremKing is that it dosn't use a locking nut.

You can just put it in any strat/strat-clone with minimal routing.

  • Yeah, but the Super Vee has a drop-in nut and is also meant for Strats, another reason why it is infinitely better than the Trem King system. And to say that the lack of a locking nut is the idea of a trem system is to say that the use of the trem system is to make your guitar go drastically out of tune.

  • The fact that the Trem King stays in tune after breaking a string can pretty much sum up the value it will have for any working musician. As soon as you have a locking nut on a guitar it will be useless if you need to drop tune or break a string etc.

  • @cohen5250 but if the super bee is set floating and you brake a string, then the rest of your strings will go flat. same if you drop tune like say to drop D tuning... the rest of your string will go flat. tremking doesnt do that. it stays in tune even without a locking nut.

  • okej im sorry

  • buy a super vee tremolo insted

  • The Super Vee looks pretty cool, but is still a locking nut system with some of the locking system limitations. You can only d-tune the Super Vee while it is locked down thus taking away the option of pulling back the trem.

  • So this system can stay in tune without the use of a locking nut?

  • Not only will it stay in tune, but you can break a string or D-tune your guitar on the fly without tuning woes.

  • Does it flutter?

  • No, the Trem King does not flutter. It is a fixed bridge design. But the same thing that keeps it from fluttering gives it countless other benefits including staying in tune if you break a string, non de-tuning bends and on-the-fly drop tuning.

  • on their ebay site, they say this is for telecaster too? but there is nothing beneath the existing plate. does it need to be cut by a factory?

    please forgive the naivety.

  • Yes, the body needs to be routed for the Trem King.
