"That sort of boy don't grow on trees...and it's all thanks to his mum."
Simple yet profound words by his father,...pretty much says it all.
I've always thought it might be his two national backgrounds as well.Greece and England, sort of like the alpha and omega of western culture. He's like a greek seed nurtured by an english rose.
Who is this Kenny creep? That dude was working the crowd like he was the "artist" or "celebrity." These gay dudes taking care of other dudes, it just aint right y'all. I don't care what nobody says. A man taking care of another man it is so unseemly and sad to me. A man has to stand for the woman and take care of her, provide for her, love her and these guys are doing this "stuff" for each other. Uh-uh... That aint right. Don't give a damn what nobody says. GOD'S WORD & WAY IS TRUE.
@LPATWILLFILM Kenny is a Self Made Man. He runs a Company that Sells School Supplies that are very stylish. He also runs a Gallery in Texas called The Goss Gallery. He has his own money and although it doesn't match George's, he's been a wonderful partner and companion who put up with alot of George's BS. The Bathroom Incident, The Sex with the Homeless Truck Driver, The Marijuana, and the Car Accident. They aren't together but I'm sure that George took very good care of him.
Thank you for this documentary. Living on the other part of the world eluded me of knowing so much things that has happened to George mostly starting from year 2000 up to the present. I was so surprised about this political issues . And there are a lot of things i learned about George and made me understand him more. I respect this man so much. He has guts and a mind of his own. You just can never put him down. God bless u George. We all love your music and we all want to see you happy.
@YESHUAISMERCIFUL You're so right. Do you realize that he finally admitted that he and Kenny Goss broke up over two years ago. I know he's been through alot but he should be very happy. In 1981 he started out and think of all of the Artists who were just as big as he was and aren't selling now. He can, and he should be very grateful. He also managed to stay alive where Michael Jackson is dead and is forgiven over and over for what he has done.
Thankyou ...watched them all....Legend..although i didnt like Wham in the 80's..i started to like his music during 'Older' and sincs then...Superb artist....
I grew up in the 80s, and really liked George since Wham. There were soo many things that I never knew about him before this documentary. I couldnt believe the amount of fame and riches that come to a man, then at the same time all the bad luck, bad decisions and tragedy as well. Iam sure hes better off now. I have a new respect for George..
Never really thought about it, but George is quite possibly the most understood artist of our generation (Class of 90). Most artists today are baseless, have no opinion of their own, and their music isn't that great. Not speaking of the John Mayer's and Alicia Keys of the world, but he has stayed consistent and he knows who he is and I realized I am a fan if him first, then his music. That's how great an artist he is. Thanks so much for posting.
@moby1017 I think he is the Key Musical Artist right now but I don't think he understands that. It's interesting how he commented about "needing to tour and promote in order to sell a record." Then he blames being "too honest or whatever" with "Listen Without Prejudice" as a reason for it not selling. I think that's one of his better Albums and it was the last one I bought. No offense, but there's a reason Artists need Managers to help them keep a proper perspective on their work.
all i can say is i've always loved u george..i am always proud to be a fan..and will always be one no matter what! u are so inspiring and a legend and have always given me the strength to be an indivual..be me and proud and give this cruel world the "BIG" finger!..luv mel
Yes, Thank you very much for posting this. I truly enjoyed seeing this in-depth look at one of my favorite artists. I like to think that I understand him a little bit better and as a result, appreciate him even more.
Next to Elvis and Lennon, George is a solid 3rd best rock artist ever and probably as nice as Elvis!
