  • Ty Tabor has done some stuff that just BLOWS a guitarist's mind :D

  • Ty Tabor, mind blowing guitarist! This guy deserves more fame along with King's X.

  • Ty Tabor is the man!!!! One of the most overlooked, yet incredibly influential guitarists of our era. He is my #1 influence. King's X made me love playing guitar. I would figure these songs out by ear, then once they released the tab books, I was VERY close. It helped my ear training a ton. But his tone, vibrato, everything is amazing. That sig series guitar he's playing is amazing too, but EXPENSIVE.

  • Right On!!!! I've been diggin' this guy's playing for a hell of a long time. Great to see some tutorials.

  • This guy makes everybody weep piss from their souls. He's every good guitarist's musical prom date fantasy.

  • About fuckin time! Finally!

  • Killer tone Ty!

  • 5 people have no clue!

  • @bassmanjoe 5 people can't tune their guitars...

  • waited for this for like ... 20 years ??? Love your style Ty... you know you are one of the few to have the thing ! blessings !

  • the whole video (21 Mins) can be seen

go to Guitar World website and Search Ty Tabor youll find it here

  • Were is Part 2?

  • @dinofond go to Guitar World website and Search Ty Tabor youll find it here

  • Ty's one of my favourite guitarists and he gives props to another favourite of my mine .. Alex Lifeson .. 2 sonic geniuses in the 2 of the greatest 3 piece bands of all time !!!

  • @LifesonFan4Life My two favorite bands and two of the most underrated guitarists.

  • Like someone said' where's part 2!

  • Kids, this is what it means to "play with economy" - he barely goes above the fifth fret and creates an entire song. Wicked.

  • Funny how he joke's around about how nuts they were with too many tunings and having to carry 7-8 guitars around. Saw an interview with U2's The Edge...18 guitars...for 1 set...(if I remember correctly).

  • fucking tone is crushing in the video

  • The best sound in the world... Ty playing guitar. Doesn't matter what he's playing, just as long as he's playing.

  • Yngwie Malmsteen made 5 youtube accounts

  • @AlanLeviYYZ I like both players but the notion that somehow Malmsteen is jealous of Ty playing some drop tuned slow riffage is ridiculous. YJM is a monster player, as is Tabor but their styles could not be any further apart. They each do their own thing and I would hazard a guess my opinion of Yngwie is probably surpassed by Ty's opinion of him.

  • wheres part 2 ???

  • Ty is an awesome guitarist and seems to be a great person as well. Keep it rockin', Ty! Love his drone notes.....was always attracted to his tone from black flag on through the whole Dogman album and Ear Candy. Just love that tone.

  • i met these guys back in 94 at their "dogman" CD release party at the old cactus records in houston. super nice guys. people fromhouston run into these guys all the time. ran into doug pinnick at a local gig, and he was cool as always. ty is one of the most under rated guitarist out there and he is such a great human being too!!

  • @wiredog73 nice i met them on the same tour on long island where i live....saw them 2 nights in a row...met them outside the first show at hofstra university and they signed my dogman cd boklet and i got ty's pick....awesome day

  • It would be great entire lesson here at tube..

  • Ty Tabor Rules!!!

  • Thanks Ty! That was great! Hope you do more of these...

  • Thanks for this :-) Always loved his playing

  • @BenjaminLOfficial because for me it isn't enough just having a good sounding guitar...i want a beautiful guitar that sounds good

  • I love Kings X. \\m// (>_<) \\m//

  • 2:04 bad horsie much? Awesome

  • @nugma very much so

  • fetish for G-string

  • @dil173 Because the guitar is tuned to drop C tuning it implies the 5th of the root scale, but changes its relationship to later chords, thereby creating the tension he talks about. He's an awesome guitarist who I've listened to since I was 21 years old!!! :P

  • @CTuxford The G is tuned down to F... so it implies the 4th of the scale, not the 5th.

  • @ibanezbloke A fourth. Even better! Thanks for the correction. :)

    I love fourths!

  • nice tone

  • Give me a dollar, or give me 50 cents! Either way King's X rules!

  • hell yeah P-rails ftw... KING X FTW!!!!

  • god damnit i have the same last name as him lol

  • nice sound but guitar is kinda ugly,,,

  • lol i couldn't help but laugh at his voice at 2:03 =D, great sounding guitar tho!!!

  • Awesome

  • what kind of distortion is he using?

  • King's X...the most underrated band of the last 25 years, not to mention one of the most heavily copied. They were doing groovy, drop-D material long before it was hip.

  • @BEEGER1 Amen, It really is a damn shame they never got as big as they should have

  • Ty rocks.

  • Good to hear some Kings X again - this band has some seriously cool riffs going on.

  • 1:33 penis

  • Ive never heard of this guy before, but his riffs are pretty heavy

  • wooow tt sounds really cool

  • yea the new seymours that are p90s and humbuckers . Never knew of this guy but i dig

  • looks like a p rail from seymore duncan.
