But beacuse I moved to the cities when I first came up here I was like what accent? Then we went a little further north one day and I heard it, lol.

I'm not sure who influenced who with accents, but Minasotans and my wife from Saskatchewan sound very similar. Especially the short 'a' sound. She calls old women she doesn't like, "bags", but it sounds like "begs". I'm actually from Tennessee, so naturally I have a twang in my talk as well, though I can turn it up and down, and even switch to another accent at will. If I end up with kids there's no telling how they'll speak. ^_^
