Have you run on sand with them before? If so, how did it go? (btw I have started to run and am interested in seeking different footwear to find the perfect thing to run in...thinking about getting a pare of luna's or invisible feet...)
Recently started running barefoot / in huarache sandals, followed all the tips, took it slow, everything was going so well, until two days ago I OVERDID IT! The only problem I haven't encountered yet is sore calves(lol?), but since that day my left foot and leg have been worthless, it hurts like a mofo! Some pain now developing in the right foot as well, though not as severe as the left one. Pain in soft tissue near the groin, left side. Pain in the left side of my back. Time to see a doctor?
@theanvilcracks could be a torn muscle around the groin, I've had that half a dozen times in my life playing football... you're out of it for 3-4 weeks, nothing to do but to wait... only weird thing is the back pains, but that can be unrelated and a coincidence...
i wish i had known about these prior to my trip to hawaii. I got to wear my five fingers, but these I could have used on the beach and on my runs w/o transition.
My friend luke thinks that you are weird. We are Barefoot runners ourselves, him and I. He introduced me to Born to Run. I think that you are pretty awesome and I just wanted to say,
So is that a new way to tie your sandals compared to your other videos? Is this new way like "slipping" on a shoe now? When you find the best method can you please post a video thanks!
@bigboybrent Yes, it is a new system of tying. I have been sampling a bunch of different tying methods that folks on the Minimalist Runner Google Group have shared over the years. I like being able to slip-on and slip-off my sandals. I will share my favorite new tying system soon. BFT

Hello, Id like to ask you a question
Do the marathon organizers let people run without shoes?

@theanvilcracks
Does it feel like muscle pain or do you beleive it is just sore muscles? Anyway consult a doctor and get som medicinal muscle massage imo.

it is absolutely amazing how silently you move. its like you aren't even running but merely gliding along.

I enjoy the tying method Stephen posted on the group .... I use that method with parachute chord on my huaraches.
