Well, this becomes a moot point now because it is AGAINST THE LAW in China for a teacher to hit or cane a student. They not only can be arrested, but they can lose their teaching certificate. TAke an unruly student out of class, yes, but hitting does not belong in ANY SCHOOL any country.

china has a stict 'school entrance examiation system'. every 9 grader in the whole city get exactly the same exam paper. for this system seperates students into 3 levels. the students who achieve the best results in the exam go to the best high schools. average students go to average high schools. students who achieve bad results in the exam go to vocational schools.

what you see here is a scene from a vacational school, which is the worst. they are not here to study but to pass the time.
