Like I told Erikita, Cuba trades with Asia and Europe (huge markets) and they're still poor. The reason is this - you do not create prosperity with enforced collectivism. You create it by freeing the people to create their own wealth and start businesses and trade freely. Imprisoning people and taking away their freedom is a fast track to poverty and hopelessness.
