The best pickle I've ever eat'n: Dallas, Texas - Twisted Root Burger Co. in Deep Ellum. Walk in and there is a two foot tall MASSIVE jar of endless SPICY pickles and the best thing is THEY ARE FREE!
Love the show! Inspired me to start pickling! Thanks!
The best pickels is the Estonian ones, they are the sour kind. My Aunt make the best ones in the whole world. They are rather easy to make, just take a big jar, put in pickels, garlic, blackcurrant leafs, dill, spices and water. Just leave them just like so, for some days. And done! Yum-yum! :P

Pickles are one of the cheapest things you can buy wtf What a waste of time, you could spend that time making money to buy hella more pickles. I think this is some funny shit
Wow this is a very cool video. I wonder how people such as yourself and the Pickle maker you spoke with figure that this is a perfect life choice for a career. Great Stuff!
Oh no mate, I was serious as bad as it comes off. It just seems so easy for some to pick up a bloody life choice. I haven't a clue and it makes me wonder how people can really choose to be happy a choice like this one. Far Better than anything I can come up with. lol
When you finish a jar of pickles (homemade or storebought) don't throw out the brine, slice some more veggies up and put them in. Store in fridge and eat after a week or so. Try sliced raw beets - yum. Also hot peppers sliced in rounds, remove seeds 1st. Yum yum.
hmmm.. i would love to see some indian recepies i really don't know but most of my co-workers are indian and they always bring lunches & it always smells so good but there is a lack of indian restaurants in Chicago any ideas out there
A brine is a solution of water combined with salt, vinegar, and/or sugar to raise the acidity of the liquid high enough to preserve whatever food is put in that brine - while killing off any bad bacteria that could thrive on the food.
The most basic brine is a salt brine, which is about 1.73 oz of pickling salt to 1 gallon of water (check on that - I'm doing this off the top of my head!).
i do not like pickles that much.

Anyone else ever have pickled fiddleheads? I think they're pretty good when pickled, especially because the season to eat them fresh is so short.
