  • I had this game... and something that I found really interesting, when I had a lock-up in Sigma's fortress (stage 1), I called the company (this was back when they had real people on the phones).

I'd given them as much information as I could, and they interjected when I'd said "After I collected the Hadoken...", and they swore up and down that it didn't exist in the PC port. I had to tell them multiple times that it indeed existed, as I was LOOKING at it on my screen.

    Good times...

  • I didn't mind the music, or the lack of some visual effects, but I missed the mech suits. I guess the PC version just couldn't handle them.

  • Ahh! I know that the music in the PC version is great. I don't understand how people can like the SNES's better!

  • Gameplay is intact, but the music is terribad. couldn't they have done CD quality stuff?

The graphics had potential to be better, VGA allows for higher resolutions then the SNES's video...

  • wow, did the game take a 2x4 in the sonics when geting ported to the PC.

  • from where can I download full DOS version? because I have only demo version :( . and is there other DOS ports of mega man?

  • AFAIK Megaman 1-3 have DOS versions.

  • I know there are mega man 1 and mega man 3 for DOS and I have them (they are nothing than shit :P)

  • Oh WOW. That's an really amazing port.

  • Play it with DB50XG or Roland Sound Canvas to have a music goodie ;)

  • Safe for the obviously inferior music and the much welcomed ability to save, this looks very true to the original! I'm curious about the aspect ratio though: Your video was in widescreen format and yet the graphics didn't look stretched; did the game allow you to select a custom resolution or something?

  • i can tell its windows 3.1's music

  • Sure, but it's not >_________>

  • Woah, this is way better than the classic version. I know X3 was ported to PC, not sure if it's on Windows though or DOS.
