  • Shirley Ellis' recording of this song first appeared on L.A. radio stations KRLA/AM and KHJ/AM in late 1964 and I know this to be fact because I was listening to it on the AM radio of my 1957 Chevy while crusing Santa Fe High School, on Orr & Day Road, in Santa Fe Springs, California ~ as a senior at SFH. Great memories of a time, long long ago. Gone but never forgotten!
