  • Beautifully done, very nice sounds and arrangement.

  • It is not the gear, it its the person who handles it! I did one of my best pieces ever just with a Korg M1, a Pentium II with a 4 MB hard disk running Cakewalk Pro Audio and the stock soundcard - not even a lousy Sound Blaster! My biggest equipment upgrade ever was getting a modern laptop running Cubase Essential, I´ve downloaded some free VSTis - and that´s it. The only thing I truly feel I need badly now is a decent pair of monitors. Working with limits forces you to be yourself!

  • This is great work Mike.

I can vividly remember your early works circa 1983.

Whatever happened to the reel to reel version of U-Boat.

I'm still in awe of your technical prowess.

    Cheers

    Tim.

  • Wonderfull song! I enjoyed this one very much.

I try to keep my studio as minimal as possible but i've kept upgrading... with second hand gear. ;-) True, most synths and software was only 6 months old or less, but that's what keeps my studio affordable.

I still wonder why some people think they can instantly become a famous musician, through buying an instrument .

    :-) I don't complain though.

Anywho. Loved the song and hope you'll upload some more, in the near future.

    Cheers, Mark

  • Thanks Mark. I appreciate the encouragement very much!

  • Nice song. Nobody needs a recording studio full of modern high-tech equipment because the old stuff does its work just as well. And the best thing about it is that second-hand synths or drum machines from the 80's and 90's are very cheap today.
