What you see in this video is one of the earliest incarnations of this song. There was this version, then several different reggae versions and several different acoustic versions. I like the version that ended up on the record. There is an alternate take on the studio hard drive of a full band production of this song, it'd be really interesting to hear at some point. :) Oh, by the way, that's me on the guitar and drums in this vid...and Michael 'Bone' Read on the keys.
Yep...it's I-V-vi-IV in the key of E. We were tuned down a half-step though. So, the actual EXACT chords I was playing were: E, B (w/ an open B and E string), C#m (w/ an open High E string), and Asus2 (that one has an open B and E string as well.) Of course, on the record this was changed quite a bit, I didn't play ANY guitar or drums on it.
I just have to say that I watch this video like 5x a week because I LOVE the song. I love the raspy voice and the hand movements of how she's bringing God into her physically, she has such a cute little body too, she looks so healthy and sings so passionately. I'm thinking about getting "The greatness to be has is the greatness that you give.." tattooed because I love it so much. <3 Thanks Aimmee for being so awesome in this vid !
