I remember when I first saw this ending. I was like WTF after seeing the original ending so many times.

I have this film on an old ex-rental vhs which I got some years ago, didnt realize there was an alternative ending to this movie. However, I like both endings. The one with the dog is just for shock value while the other shows the audience what might happen if the creeps infect the dead in the cemetary. This film owes alot to various sci-fi films of the 50's such as Plan 9 from outer space aswel as David cronenbergs Shivers.

i remember seeing this ending when i watched the film on tv about a decade ago. i didn't remember the alien ship so much as the epic shot of the giant cemetery. thanks for uploading this ending. i was pissed when i watched the whole film only to find the most memorable part (for me, anyways) missing.

@skittleboy15 yea, there was a part in the movie where an old lady was watching tv, and one of those worms went under the floor and brought back a corpse. then that poor old lady got hacked up by that corpse :O

How could that run of the mill, one-last-"surprise"-attack-typ­e ending have made the cut, and not this more epic and suspenseful one? Makes no damn sense. the producers are the ones that originally requested the dog ending to be made and when the DVD version was released, the director approved ending is the one that's the ending on the actual DVD

This was in the version my dad had way back. I think it was way better; Gives a feeling of full circle - without this ending, the episode about the serial killer coming back to "life" don't make much sense (i think).

It's an okay ending, but they made a wise decision to change it. This one's a good idea but badly executed.
