  • Yard sale anytime soon??

  • Hi, I have a year old ferret and just took one of my moms maincoon kitten (11 weeks old) home to my ferret. my ferret just seems to want to play with kitten, although the kitten is a bit "conspicious" towards phsycho. do you have any ideas on how the get them to go along?

when the ferret gets to close the kitten just bops him on the head and gets scared. I'm always there with them and never leave them out of sight.

    thanks!

  • @amfsold

Do your best to encourage kitty that it's okay to play with the ferret! Hold kitty so s/he feels secure and can get used to little psycho. (It may be beneficial to hold both). Next engage them both in play. Kitty with string, ferret with whatever so that they are playing next to each other, then try a game for all 3 of you! I don't allow my ferrets and maincoons to play together anymore as one got too rough, but if yours grows up with a ferret, it might be a different situation.

  • i miss my ferrets :'( RIP

  • omg my catand my farrettare socutewhenthey play they resle around on he floor like puppys and the farret makes gobbaling noises its sooo cute .

  • the cats must be like: wtf the mouses are quite big these days :D

  • that one cat is either the biggest cat ever or has really fluffy fur

  • Yes, they are huge! They are mancoon cats which is one of the largest breeds of house cat. They can get up to 25 lbs! Puppy is 22 pounds, and Velcro is 19 pounds...

  • 1:13 - Falcon Punch!! XD

  • Ferret shock troopers!

  • When I worked at a petstore we had one male ferret who was not descented. Tagloo was over a year old. People kept buying him and bringing him back. Sadly Tagloo was destroyed by the petstore owner. I found this out a few weeks later after I quit due to the owners lack of care to the animals. I found Tag to be smart funny and playful. BUT he was wild! A bundle of energy that growled at attacked feet. He also loved to neck cuddle. While cute I think they should not be pets. Too untamed.

  • Ferrets are not wild. They were domesticated by the Ancient Egyptians thousands of years ago. Sounds like "Tag" was never given proper care or training. Many dogs and cats are destroyed every year because owners don't know how to care for them properly. Every pet should be researched before being bought! My Zoe was a bit of a nibbler - her previous owner warned me - but after two weeks of "naughty corner" training, she quit nibbling! And I've never seen a wild animal neck cuddle.
