what lens would you recomned im looking at getting into wildlife photography but im having a hard time deciding whats a better lens the Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L IS USM or the Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS UEM Lens, which one has better image stabilization for hand held photography and which one would best suit my 7D would really appreciate your input.
@Petyamester Hello your video inspired me to get 70-200mm f4 IS and i just bought today a canon 70-200mm f4 L IS is that really normal when you switch on the IS you can hear like motor running and boiling sound in it? Thank you in advance and thank for the wonderful video.
@Petyamester LOL really?! thats good to know... And one more question is the ZOOM RING doesn't rotate even if you set the lens in FULL AUTO mode? if so it's always manual zooming turning on ZOOM ring.Thank you again much appreciated.
@Petyamester That make sens coz even is they make it move during full auto the battery will drain easily. Thank you so much for your time you really inspire me and my apologies for my ignorance im just starting on this hobby.
@FlyinangeLproduction actually the F4 IS is slightly better Image Quality than the 2.8 non IS, the main difference is that it is much smaller and easier to carry around, it doesnt have quite as shallow depth of field, it is weather sealed where as the non IS versions are not. I would buy the F4 IS over the F.8 non IS, but if you have the money and are very strong get the F2.8 IS.
@eSKoeun IS is important on a tele lens, so I'd go with the IS version, or if you wait and save up a little more you could buy the 2.8 IS which would be perfect. :)
May I ask what editing program you?

Would this lens be good for shooting short films?
I'm looking for a lens that's good with low light situations, and has shallow depth of focus for a more filmic look.
Thank you!

@EthanGaskill Yes, IS is very important for video at that range, and you have a very shallow dof even stopped down with a telephoto lens like this.

@66biboy Sweet! Yes, that's normal. Only the new lenses have silent IS.

@FlyinangeLproduction 2.8 does better in low light and give your a shallower depth of field.
