  • please god a west coast hurricane!

  • i know dr bob sheets got tired of being interviewed by the news media especially when they kept asking him the same damn questions

  • They were predicting no power for a week? HA! Try 3 to 6 months. This storm was no joke.

  • I was there during Hurricane Andrew! It's scary storm!

  • RIP Bob

  • Living in SE NC, most of the storms that have hit in the area my lifetime came in at night with the exception of Hurricane Bertha in '96 and the remnants of what was tropical storm Charley after it crossed central Florida as a cat 4 and then came near Myrtle Beach, SC as a category 1.

  • Thank you sooo much for posting this.. i was just a boy in 3rd grade when this hit but this impacted our lives more than anything before or sinse this happened and i have lost our orriginal vhs of this production but glad to see this again.. fyi we were in the Kendall area

  • Had no idea parts 5-8 even existed til today lol

For the longest time I only had 4 parts to this compliation

    Great work

  • Why do hurricanes always seem to come on shore during the night? Astounding how that works out. I wish someone could explain it.

  • I always thought that too, when I lived in florida, every hurricain & tropical storm, or any large storm for that matter came ashore at Nite....

Florida can be a strange place.

  • I have been through several here in Texas. Every one of them came through at night. I am not saying they all come in at night, but the majority of them do, even meteorologists have commented on it.

  • @tealmarlin tell me about it lol

  • @tealmarlin Not quite correct, Hurricane Charley was during daylight.

  • @lostindiancamp That does seem to happen quite often.

  • @lostindiancamp because thats when it is really the most scary..

  • @StoneCold75 ha thats funny

  • @lostindiancamp not always, wilma hit us during the morning hours.

  • @lostindiancamp I was thinking that same thing, especially since I grew up in S. Fl, the damn things never came when I was awake LOL

  • @lostindiancamp I agree. Pure dumb luck or coincidence doesn't seem to suffice as an explanation, although it very well may be.

  • @lostindiancamp i think it has something to o with night and day heat meter. not 110 pecent sure but thanks what most people think.

  • At this point, we were also seeing some transformer explosions near our location, which was only about two miles away from where Dennis Smith is in this broadcast. Things really started to go downhill about 90 minutes later!
