  • I love the way you play (not only the fact that you play left handed, but the general feeling you have), this is really cool, and thats an awesome cover too

  • @MusicNexusArchives Thank you very much!

  • you played incredible! Love your work. your drums also sound great. I use an old tama artstar snare that I use a pinstripe on as well. your kit looks amazing but i definitely don't envy halling them to gigs

  • @vjrockinyourworld Thanks! Gigs are a little tough, yes. I always bring the whole kit though.

  • @asicerik I definitely respect that

  • have you ever tried the dw drum heads in my opinon the sound great

  • @drumdummbie No, I have not. I am trying the Evans heads at the moment.

  • ive never seen a clear snare head

  • @randomdude1426 It is a Remo Pinstripe.

  • @randomdude1426 from time to time depending on the style of band im playing with i'll use a clear head on the snare. If you have a deep steel snare it can give it a very 80's tone. alot of drummers in the 80's played a clear snare head.

  • are you left handed if so im too

  • @drumdummbie Yes indeed! Go lefties!

  • you just exhibited Peart's brilliant, ahead-of-its-time yet simple, crisp and beautiful drumming style and you did so amazingly! cheers to you brother. I learnt the song only because of your video.

  • Did you bought your kit just the way it is??

or did you bought your toms separately?

  • @georgemg55 I bought it all at once. Everything but the electronics.

  • great job !

  • @leovi23 I appreciate it.

  • You must be a big Rush fan just based on the amount of toms you have!

  • @FalconFlurry You know it!

  • I don't know can anyone dislike this, it was awesome man, this is one song that I want to play and record one of these days. Very well done!!!

  • @MrNickdrummer That's quite a compliment from you! Thanks! Love your vids!

  • @asicerik i like your videos to there really good.

  • Nice playing man!

  • @A169KL Thanks!

  • u dont have to thank me...good work!

  • Now this is my all time favorite from Rush! I appreciate that you kept all the details and fills. Great technique!

  • @ericpr0278 Thanks again. I appreciate it.

  • great job!!

  • @lampsite20 Thanks!

  • excellent cover man, nailed it!

  • @lewman321 Thank you!

  • @manofgod30 Thanks, its a Tama Granstar.

  • Hi !!! awesome !!! I got it !!! I was playing the ride and cymbal in wrong time. Now i watched you playing and fixed that !!! Thank you !!!! ( the part i was with difficult was timeline 0:35 and 4:30 in your video )

  • @docgea Great! I am glad the video helped!

  • Great job! I've seen a lot of drummers try to pull off Peart and most seem to panic on certain parts and lose it. I enjoy watching your vids. Keep up the good work!

  • @hootch2 Thank you very much!

  • AWESOME COVER DUDE!!

one of the best covers on youtube

    DD:

BTW - your kit looks very a like like THE REV's kit...

  • @magamegabamba Thanks a lot! On two fronts. I was not familiar with A7k. They are pretty awesome. Damn shame about The Rev though. Our kits do look a lot alike too!

  • Great job! I guess not to many viewers noticed your handicap. You seem to overcome it with great control. Thanks for your vids.

  • @dbytor Thank you very much. This angle does not show off my right hand as much. Other shots do more. I had a pretty typical story. In 5th grade I got to pick an instrument to play. Someone said, "Well, you can't play drums!" That was all I needed!

  • fantastic cover!

by the way, your drum kit remembers me the nicko mcbrain's kit xD

  • @guitarxd08 Thanks! Nicko has always had pretty cool kits. Speaking of which, I am thinking of doing some Maiden covers. Any favs?

  • @asicerik Ohh Maiden is absolutely my favourite band. Try where eagles dare, the first song recorded with mcbrain. it's a hard song, specially the bass pedal line, but it's too a incredible song, fun to play!

  • @asicerik Where Eagles Dare, Powerslave, Caught Somewhere in Time, Deja Vu... those have nice drumming :0)

  • @RigoStar Thanks guys. I think "Where Eagles Dare" is a great choice.

  • Incredible drummer. Love it.

  • @slater231 Thank you very much!

  • respect too you, u played that beautifully.

  • Thanks tubbedude!

  • Very Good Job, Cool tune.. love the way you play...Thumbs up!!!!!

  • @NightScripture Thanks! I take requests too!

  • Your set up is just like mines I'm left handed all the way and RUSH fan also. Good job keep them beats going . How long have you been drumming for ?

  • @HOTBOXTHELUNCHBOX nice! Are you going to post some vids? I have been playing for oh... 30 years or so now. Yikes.

  • Fantastic JOB...I always avoid working on rush drum covers just because my drumming is not where it needs to be yet but your drumming is excellent!!!!!

  • @pn70 Thanks a lot! I just checked out your page (thanks for the sub btw) and I totally think you can do this song. Give it a try! The only really tricky part of this song is the cross-sticking on the hi-hat. With your setup, it should work well since your snare and hi-hat are so close. Mine are MILES apart which can make that stuff tough.

Anyway, thanks again, and upload some more vids!

  • You rocked that song! Love it!

  • @tizzdizz Thanks, I appreciate it.

  • Excellent work... I've been drumming since kindergarten 1965 to be exact..quick question please what head do U have on the snare and do I see triple felt on ur cymbals? Oh by the way I write left handed but play right handed!!! Amazing on ur stickwork

  • @trewolla1960 Thanks a lot. I (had) a Remo pinstripe on the snare. I am experimenting with some new heads. My Who cover has a clear Ambassador on the snare.

I am not sure I understand the cymbal q. I have one felt below, one above.

I used to play on a right-handed kit, but I found fills were tough. Do you lead with your left, or right?

  • Good sound, well mixed, great playing. Cheers.

  • @drumtravelfun Thank you very much!

  • That's amazing playing. I never knew Les Nesmund drummed. Fever must be proud

  • @dtjesus101 OUCH! I hope I am slightly cooler than Les!

  • @asicerik Are you kidding? Les was the coolest of the cool! We can all only hope to be that cool one day.

  • @asicerik LOL, you are. You are.

  • @ThePentagram9 Hola Brasil! Muchas gracias. Do you record?

  • I still can't get the beat at 00;34 down right :p

  • yeah leftys!

  • Geat Job, are you missing fingers on your right hand? If so even more power to you!!! GREAT JOB !!! Keep em Comin'

  • @Rotten40851 Yeah, indeed. I have only a (small) thumb and pinky on the right hand. Thanks for the compliment!

  • even though its hard for some reason to watch left handed drummers play...this was a great cover of a great song...spot on

  • @YbuYffZ Just flip your monitor around! Haha, jk. Thanks for the compliment.

  • wow...very good work man!

  • @fullscaredcarp Thank you!

  • haha great playing man

how are the E604's working out for you? they don't sound that "boingy" to me, as many people say they sound.

  • Wow, nice playing! I love your kit, you certainly earned it. What brand/kind of snare head is that?

  • @MrLildrummerboy15 Thank you very much. It took a couple of years to pay that thing off! I have a Remo Pinstripe on the snare top.

  • This is a great cover. You deserve so many more views! I am subscribing.

  • Great! 5/5!

  • Great job

  • @nakedtommygun Thanks!

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • @tjc5205 ... and your point is?

  • Another good one. Nice snare and hat work. Neil is a beast on this one.

  • @DarkBlue101 I appreciate the compliment, thanks! This and Red Barchetta are my two best playing vids (so far!). I love Neil's cross-sticking hi-hat work on this tune. It is a blast to play.

  • good job man nailed it

  • @TheOutdoorsman109 Thanks man! I am pretty proud of this one.
