I love the way you play (not only the fact that you play left handed, but the general feeling you have), this is really cool, and thats an awesome cover too
you played incredible! Love your work. your drums also sound great. I use an old tama artstar snare that I use a pinstripe on as well. your kit looks amazing but i definitely don't envy halling them to gigs
@randomdude1426 from time to time depending on the style of band im playing with i'll use a clear head on the snare. If you have a deep steel snare it can give it a very 80's tone. alot of drummers in the 80's played a clear snare head.
you just exhibited Peart's brilliant, ahead-of-its-time yet simple, crisp and beautiful drumming style and you did so amazingly! cheers to you brother. I learnt the song only because of your video.
Hi !!! awesome !!! I got it !!! I was playing the ride and cymbal in wrong time. Now i watched you playing and fixed that !!! Thank you !!!! ( the part i was with difficult was timeline 0:35 and 4:30 in your video )
Great job! I've seen a lot of drummers try to pull off Peart and most seem to panic on certain parts and lose it. I enjoy watching your vids. Keep up the good work!
@magamegabamba Thanks a lot! On two fronts. I was not familiar with A7k. They are pretty awesome. Damn shame about The Rev though. Our kits do look a lot alike too!
@dbytor Thank you very much. This angle does not show off my right hand as much. Other shots do more. I had a pretty typical story. In 5th grade I got to pick an instrument to play. Someone said, "Well, you can't play drums!" That was all I needed!
@asicerik Ohh Maiden is absolutely my favourite band. Try where eagles dare, the first song recorded with mcbrain. it's a hard song, specially the bass pedal line, but it's too a incredible song, fun to play!
Fantastic JOB...I always avoid working on rush drum covers just because my drumming is not where it needs to be yet but your drumming is excellent!!!!!
@pn70 Thanks a lot! I just checked out your page (thanks for the sub btw) and I totally think you can do this song. Give it a try! The only really tricky part of this song is the cross-sticking on the hi-hat. With your setup, it should work well since your snare and hi-hat are so close. Mine are MILES apart which can make that stuff tough.
Excellent work... I've been drumming since kindergarten 1965 to be exact..quick question please what head do U have on the snare and do I see triple felt on ur cymbals? Oh by the way I write left handed but play right handed!!! Amazing on ur stickwork
@trewolla1960 Thanks a lot. I (had) a Remo pinstripe on the snare. I am experimenting with some new heads. My Who cover has a clear Ambassador on the snare.
I am not sure I understand the cymbal q. I have one felt below, one above.
I used to play on a right-handed kit, but I found fills were tough. Do you lead with your left, or right?
@DarkBlue101 I appreciate the compliment, thanks! This and Red Barchetta are my two best playing vids (so far!). I love Neil's cross-sticking hi-hat work on this tune. It is a blast to play.
