That is right! Most games nowadays are all about the graphics, not to say that it's not important, but it seems to take away from the length of the game. That's why I love the FF games, no matter if I come home and play everyday for hours, it still takes a good amout of time to finish the game.

@Thucydides2004 You know, I meant Final Fantasy I on the NES. It literally saved Square from going under because of it's success. But yes, the series has gotten much worse. The older ones(SNES and NES) are often considered the best... or some of the best(you know, due to the FFVII fanboys and fangirls).

@BlanFan2O Chrono Trigger changed my life for the better, plus it has major replay value, lovable, memorable characters, complex relationships, time travel, and a kick ass soundtrack. You will no regret at least one play through of the Trigger. I found Cross less accessable... music was maybe better though. And the stories do tie together as nicely as two stories featuring time travel and operating between parallel but different dimensions can... lol

FF3 for the SNES was actually FF6. Later, Square gave it it's proper name for later releases, but if you get this game on SNES, it will be called Final Fantasy III.

They Thought it was simplier to Name the American/English Text/audio versions of things as they'd appear in America. When Final Fantasy 7 came with the PSone, Playstation was selling worldwide and wanted its games to do the same. It became thus not simplier to call Final Fantasy 7 in Japan and Final Fantasy 4 in America cause that would then require more .... why am I honestly going into theory here, like these guys are going to understand any kinda fact or speculation -.-
