Doesnt matter how the cards fall, the strongest hand won at the end of the day.

Nah he actually was a massive chip leader at this point, when he has the pocket sixes, plus he made the right call and had the other guy in bad shape, lucky for him he hit the 2 aces on the flop, doesnt matter that the six cme on the river, eastgate had the best hand.

Eastgates probably knows,

1.that he's up against broadway, of some sorts. which only has 33% to hit a pair on the flop. so he's likely to take it away 66% of the time.

2. he's in position, he will act last throughout the hand.

3. he's playing the other spectrum of the board. and might actually make the best hand on the flop.

So don't come saying its luck.

its a +EV play. in the right situation, especially if you have a read/history with the villain.
