He is OK but not as good as I thought he would be, just being honest, his doesn't have enough power in his voice, and so is straining to be heard over the band, he doesn't sing the words very clearly and is rather shouty. Maybe a smaller arena would suit his voice better.

Cook already has 50 songs ready to record which includes his unreleased solo album & I'm sure people were lining up to get him to includes songs they wrote to put on his album. I mean why wouldn't they as he had 11 songs in Billboard Top 100 at the same time. The record was 14 by the Beatles in the 60s. He can do anything with good lyrics. He took "Dream Big" which was sung by a girl "when I was a little girl..." and it was country. Look what he did with that!

This is Lionel Richie's song and he sang it a long time ago. It's not original but David rocked it and made it totally different. Dream Big and Time of My Life were original songs part of the top 10 chosen for people to vote so that the American Idol winner releases it. Hello is so different from Richie's version that Richie wanted him to release it the very next day and said it would be a smash hit.

This is the first time I have ever posted. Thank you for this wonderful video. It really shows David's speaking ability and comfort level. He is a NATURAL on stage. I will be attending the concert at Staples Center on July 7th, and I'm really looking forward to the show. I promise that I won't be a cranky "older" lady who tells you to "sit down" or to "stop screaming"---I'll be standing and screaming right along with you!
