  • The bass walk in the begininng is A G F then back to G. The riff doesn't go to E until the word "hill" is sung. What's surprising is that everyone on youtube has the same mistake except for the ones of Lindsey himself. Nicely done though, very nice.

  • @timbr88

Thanks it's only my attempt, I could never play it like Lyndsey obviously. Can't do the bass part fast enough! lol

  • Exceptional cover . . I would pay to hear you play and sing.

    Keep posting your music.

  • @mikingallss

Thank you, you'revery kind. I'm playing at the Nag's Head in Crewe Cheshire this friday, but it may be a little far for you to come. I'll be sure to let you know if I ever make it to the US!

  • This is a fantastic cover of my favourite all time song... Wonderfull!!

  • Nice to see the ladies doing well on a great cover!! Well done you!! x

  • Very nice!

  • I think it was great and I especially like the grunting at the end... although it didn't sound very authentic. lol

  • Very, very nice work ! Total respect to you and a sub from me :o)

    Thanks for posting,

    Jim

  • really good job on this cover. a little softer a little simpler. Lindsay Buckingham himself would, I think, quite enjoy it. The "oooh, ahhh" at the end is dead sexy

  • @gryzeb1

    LOL THANKS!

  • I just listened to Buckinghams version, then saw this one, you play just the same, a female voice is better for this song i love your singing, thanks for the tune!

  • not bad at all-- this is not an easy song to play at all. and then to sing along is even tougher.

and you are pretty cute too. my grade : vocals B+ picking : B + Looks A.

  • Nicely done, You picked a daunting piece to learn for guitar and voice.

  • Fantastic! Not many renditions on here that include a voice; yours was really worth listening to.

  • @welshfinn1

Thank you, I know I don't play it as well as some, but I did my best and anyway I love the song. :)X

  • I really liked your version of the song. I think you have a soft, delicate voice that adds a different dimension to the song. Very nice guitar work as well. Thanks for posting!

  • all i can say is, ooh aah!

  • you need to keep the bass line goin and not play so many notes on the rythem

  • you need to keep the bass line goin and not play so many notes on the rythem

  • good job. Enjoyed

  • J'adore! I love your version!

  • I love your oohs and aahs at the end

  • @logyscott Yea, I'm sure you did

  • you're awesome!

  • well i don't know about that, but thanx anyway!

  • Very,Very nice .Thanks.

  • Where are You, and where are You from ?

Please tell me Your Name, good playing and good locking...no joke, just answer...

    Lord-Speedy

  • Your really good :)

  • Your welcome! and thanks for writing back. I used to play folk songs when I was younger, but haven't played for years now. I just need to get back into it again. I think "Landslide" would be a good song to start with. What are the chords to that song? I know C, G, A, but I have to practice to remember the rest of the chords. Thanks again.

  • the chords for the verse are C, G (or G/B, the same as G except no finger on top string), Am7, then back to C. the chorus is different.

  • Very nicely done! I'd like to see Stevie Nicks do as good a job as you! You and Lindsey could do this song together! I like the slower version it's nice!

Your very talented. I have a guitar just sitting in my closet. I find it hard to play because for a female I have short stubby fingers, any suggustions?

  • Start off with just basic chords A, D, G etc, and just learn some simple songs. You'll get the hang of it it's just a matter of practice. Thanx for your lovely comment by the way! Julia x

  • you are cool babe

  • Good job Juliad. I'm a big FM fan. God bless.

  • This is probably the best cover I've heard of this song. Well done! I really like it.

  • Well Done! Nice Voice!

  • Amazing cover =3

  • this is realllly good... and I don't blame you for not doing all the bass notes, Lindsey plays them insanely fast.

awesome cover. I wish I could play and sing like you ):

  • I love it.. You really dont have to care what other people say. You know ur good.. I also want to play it but dont know every chord.. Would you want to give me the chords.. Or the version you play it. Cus i love it..

  • Just watch the video 'The Dance' . I really don't do it justice, but hey I had a go:) Thanks for watching anyway!!!!x

  • Good cover. Good performance.

  • you stink

  • Boo Hoo!

  • Don't take care of this bad answer from ewild777123 ... you have a wonderful talent, even with a lighten version of "big love".

... and we all see that you take a lot of pleasure to play guitar ... so keep going on ;-)

  • buenisimo¡¡¡

  • wow very nice

  • beautiful.......and nice!

  • effortless ...... wonderful ...... and a beautiful voice too xx

  • Great but by the way you spelled LINDSEYS name wrong!

  • no you do spell it with a y because hes a boy

  • No, look up his album's like Gift of Screws look how his name is spelled. if you like Lindsey Buckingham you should at least know how to spell his name.

  • Really good cover, nice singing too. :)

  • I've spent hours watching all your videos!! You're amazing!!! I've been teaching myself guitar for ages now..wish I could sound like this :-)

  • wow,awsome :)

  • You make it look easy. Your awesome.

  • Great! I love it!

  • wow. I am impressed. Very good!

  • I'll bet you could pull off some Jeff Buckley, you should give it a try."Grace" or "So real",that'd be great.

  • Very Cool!

This is very cool song. It was nice to see a someone do a good homemade version of this song.

    Homemade in the good sence!

    Thanks

    Scott

  • well done!!!

  • Well done J.

This is not easy to play...let alone sing along to.

Respect to you, for doing both.

    Paul

  • Bravo, bravo;no one one earth except Lyndsey can play those base notes as fast by the way. oh, and the face pulling were my fave parts, very sexy cover!

  • sexy

  • Where are these critical people coming from? Yeah, you are no Lindsay Buckingham but you knew that. Never heard this by a chic before and DAMNIT I LIKE IT! Yes, crappy recording for sure but whaddya want? it's youtube and that's what we all have to put up with. Music is about being moved and that song was sweet and you moved me juliad so keep it up

  • I like it lots... all these gits leaving negative comments don't seem to be posting their version eh?! Hope you enjoy mine too :0)

  • What's the big deal about the bass part? it's not note for note, and it doesn't try to be. I loved the half-note pulse of this performance, more stately and mesmerizing than LB's solo version. Stands on its own, and great vocal, too.

Shitty recording, though~! You should record this for real, instead of the "video camera built in mic" recording. There's something *really* good here in this version and performance - there's a real sense of longing here in the vocal. It's great~ works for me!

  • excellent! good to hear this song sung by a woman!

  • thoroughly enjoyed this. well done... and brave. not an easy piece to do and you sing too. lovely voice. easy to see you love to play and you had fun doing this. thanks for posting this.

  • very nicely done , thumbs up :)

  • very ambitious cover, Good job, great song

  • Snail bass! lol - Sorry, song needs a man but well done though!!

  • can't believe some peeps even attempting to disregard you for not speeding up the bass bits the fact you sang and as you said had a good go is a big thumbs up

very nice cover and i thought it sounded awesome and you played it very well

    -Clint

  • Incredibly difficult song to sing and play, well done really enjoyed it

  • ohh pls practise^^

  • ohh pls don't be so anal, i had a go, period. wots ur problem.

  • The song is fairly difficult to play. Took me quite awhile to get the bass notes. I'll put a video up sometime soon. :-)

  • I love that you tackled this one!!! I haven't gotten to it yet--but it's on my list...I love that you love the big Mac stuff and Joni Mitchelle. Here's to the female guitar players who sing, too!!!!

    Well done!!!

ps - would love to collaborate sometime/somehow... I did a non-rehearsed version of Never Going Back and Case of You awhile ago...have a look if you like and see what you think

  • Excellent!!

How about a duet on this piece?

Look at my singing of it first though!!

  • I guess you are the only person here on youtube you sang along.. Amazingly well done....

  • Almost, gotta be eigth notes on the bass notes. Singing is cool@!!!!

  • i know i can't play the bass notes that fast. lol. but i tried, just for fun :)

  • Amazing! Great job on a tough, tough song! You play it great, but you also nailed the singing! Thanks for posting this! You are awesome!!!

  • wow. that was the best cover i have ever heard.
