  • I agree, he has still got it. I've loved Tom Rush's music since the beginning. My brother brought home a copy of his first album. Still awesome.

  • I love that he's never in a hurry.

  • his voice is as clear, as expressive, and as comforting as it was 40 years ago.

    Lovely

    thanks

  • it was on brownes for everyman--i think rush took it from that record--first i ever heard of him doing it

  • What a miserable disposition...

  • Actually the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Jackson Browne was an original member, recorded this in 1967 I think, but TR's version is a version many refer to.

  • I grew up listening to Tom and this song. Will always love it. but it just doesn't work for me, 2 sec of song then 5 sec of down load. this is one of the few Utube doing this thx Utube

  • but in jackson browne sings 'for you' in the original version , but not live (later) , why ?

    hope yr all well

  • Tom Rush sings "all the things that I forgot to do" leaves out the "for you"

    which changes the song completely.

  • @vicdibella Jackson doesn't seem so say that part live either, from what I see on youtube videos

  • written for Tom Rush many many years ago - it was HIS version that people refer to

  • Jackson wrote it as a teenager, then it was covered by Nico. I am not aware that it was written for Tom, specifically. Could be, maybe. In any case, I do like his rendering!

  • Well, cover... Tom's is the original version. Jackson Browne wrote it for him, long long ago.

  • this is quite excellent

  • I love Tom Rush's cover of this song. Nadine
