robbiebratc What's your problem????? Why add stupid comments ? If you can't say something nice, jus say NOTHING!! Oh, maybe it's because you just turned 6 years old!!
I love you baby doll:X:X:X:X And spike (my male cockatiel who was also rescued) wants you to know if it doesn't work out with your boyfriend, he will fly ur way lol.
I have quite a fondness for animals that no one else wants. All of the birds I have owned except one has come from people who didn't want them anymore or were neglected. My dad always get's stray dogs from parking lots or the side of the road- I don't think he has ever paid for a dog in his life. While I'm not totally against breeding, people do need to look around for animals who are in shelters because they need a home more desperately.
@cylaisawesome I agree 100%! Many animal breeders know what they're doing and love the animals they work with, but in my opinion it should always be shelter animals first. Many of their lives are indeed on the line.
What a sweatheart Baby Doll is! we've got a featherpicked cockatiel rescue named Baby ourselves! Good thing he's handtrained, that always makes things easier. Baby is too, but he's pretty protective of himself 'cause his balance is extremely poor.
how adorable, i have a 3 legged sheep, that has no ears, and i also am addicted to rescuing animals,,,no cockatiels since my sweet "perky" died in my house fire, tho...but some day...yeah they are the best lil friends any one could have
How heartbreaking. Fire is every bird owners worse enemy. Well, any domesticated animal, but especially birds since it affects them first and they cant get out...
Baby Dolls left wing is almost paralyzed now. She seems happy though and eats like a horse and still chirps. So she stays on earth until she is ready to fly....
my bird was rescued!!11 he jjust lost his eye tumours we got him from the downstairs ppl and they threw hitngz at him and he survived of coke and cereal hes now beautiful but vious lol
You rescued this little cutie? Thats so sweet of you! I do wish that more people like you lived in this world to help little birds and animals such as this. People need to look beyond things like tumors and what not and just let the animal lived a well loved life of a companion. I have two 'tiels myself, Dippstick and Pepper ^^
I have a rescued female cockatiel with NO FEET. She is the sweetest most lovable bird you could ever meet; just like this lovely girl you have sitting on your hand. LOVE THIS! My girl is now 9 yrs. old and doing just fine. A real companion.
Wow, no feet. I have heard of that, good for you for rescuing her!!! Baby Doll would have had a hard time without feet. She has a tumor on her right side that keeps her from being able to fly very well. She waddles as she walks, but at least she has her, feet to keep her going... Who knows what you might end up dealing with, with anyway rescued bird... thanks for the reply!!
I had the same kind of bird, bald cockatiel I had to of them and over the years they picked eachother bald, the girl(bald lived to be about 18 and the one who still had a few feathers lived to be about 21 just died about two days ago:(
I remember when you didn't pick them up even. Thats sweet. They look like they have much more trust now. even if you have a ways to go. Does your little baby have special needs still? Are all the infections gone? They take a lot of time and attention. Shes looking happier for sure. :-) GOD BLESS YOU, For your love of birds. They are beautiful little creatures.

the tumor has receeded a bit, but she will never be able to fly. Her left wing has just about become paralyzed.
She is happy otherwise. eating well and loves her hubby... she will let us know when she has had enough.

Isnt it cool how she loves to hold her wings open? So many years without being able to do so.
She does have a small tumor on her left side, but she is doing alright with it. Any suggestions from everyone on some natural cures for her?
